I don't know if it's a mic thing or something is making noise in the room Abby is in but there's kind of a 'whooshing' noise whenever she talks that you don't hear when the other talk. 48:13 and during that entire VR game section when the others are quiet is when it's very audible.

She's in the control with A LOT of fan noise.

@alistercat: I'm not really hearing it but I see a couple of people have mentioned it. What version are you watching? Is the audio actually distorting and breaking up or just sounds different? Thanks for the help.

It sounds the same on all quality versions. It was only noticeable on the intro and your voices (not gameplay). Just listened to last weeks and it isn't present. I don't have the vocabulary to describe it but the bass is a little crackly and your voices sound flatter and louder. It's not quite as bad but similar to that one episode in the first game where the audio was bad.

Thanks for the feedback. It's probably the compressor I put on to raise up the gameplay since it was a bit lower in the mix this episode. As long as it's not actually clipping and distorting is my main concern. Thanks again.

Ubisoft was pretty clear about what you get. You get new content 7 days early, the game a few days early, and a bunch of cosmetic junk. They've stated this in the past.

I don't agree. As someone who has had to answer "well, what does that actually mean?" to people I can say this, particularly, is not very clear:

"A VIP status during Year 1, including additional assignments, rewards and discounts"

I'm 50 minutes in and Vinny is not using armor packs for some reason?

yeah, I think we all didn't realize how often they'll restock and horde them until closer to the end when we start using them more.

Vinny, I'm begging you, please get a bullet list or watch a video to refresh your memory a bit because you're killing me with telling Alex wrong info all the time.

If you're still alive and not dead, I'm pretty sure this is the one where I read off Christina Norman's (the lead gameplay designer) blog post about it.

You can find it here: http://blog.bioware.com/2010/01/06/enemy-defenses-in-mass-effect-2/

If indeed you are dead due to what I told Alex, I'm sorry. I will start a petition to have what currently remains of Bioware at EA retroactively change the rules of engagement to more fit your memory, in your honor of course. With Anthem and and the state of things, I'm not sure if this will happen quickly or before more episodes go up, so don't haunt me with your wrathful spirit. Thanks!

Before the site redesign I used to come to this page at this time each Friday and download the mp3 to my android phone but now it's saying its premium only, should I be looking elsewhere or is it now, for lack of a better term, a timed exclusive... Thanks!

In the upper right of the page, there should be two stars, near the video/audio toggle. That should toggle you from premium to free. And I believe you should be able to download it still... I think. I just tried it in an incognito browser and it seemed to work. Hope that helps.

@vinny I'm seeing this in both the Beastcast feed and the Bombcast feed in Pocket Casts. It's just listed as "Episode 182" in the Beastcast feed, but it's showing up as "The Giant Beastcast: Episode 182" in the Bombcast feed. Does this mean that the Beastcast will be showing up in the Bombcast feed going forward, or is this just an error?

Looks like it had just defaulted to the Bombcast RSS feed when I saved it but I didn't notice. Just an error.

I have to admit, I'm getting a bit exhausted about the complaining about going to the West Coast for GOTY now that it is becoming an annual tradition to complain about it for the second year in a row.

To the average person, especially one who gives these people money to watch and listen to them play games, it seems like the very definition of complaining from the position of privileged. I'm not trying to be mean, but to 90% of the audience who work normal jobs where they work all but 1 or 2 weeks total of vacation/holiday pay (if that), hearing someone complain about working until Thanksgiving, then flying somewhere to play and talk about games for a couple weeks before getting the last 3-4 weeks of the year off is a pretty obnoxious thing to listen to complaints about.

Most of us get one or two days off for Thanksgiving, and go to work for the next month as usual, and then get maybe a few days off for Christmas/New Years. If they really hate it so much, maybe they should be given the option to stay in New York and work entire the month of December like normal people with only a few days off for each holiday instead. I have a feeling they wouldn't really like that better.

On behalf of the people here who work very hard so that they can take the company issued 5 days off between Christmas and New Year's without having the site go dark (including recording regularly schedule podcasts during said vacation time) and with the added pain in the butt of putting their lives and the lives of their family on hold to do so for two weeks, I can officially tell you you're being an ass.
