I decided to give this game a second chance, and it works! Just finished the game with zero issues encountered. Performance was excellent.

No idea what ultimately fixed it, but probably a combination of patches to OS, drivers, and game. The OS and driver version that is currently working for me: Windows 10 1709 (16299.125), Geforce 388.59 driver.

Dang it. Sorry @rorie. I've also been waiting patiently the entire 2017 for the early access version. (It was supposed to release last year.)

If anyone hasn't played the original Door Kickers yet you should do so. It's an excellent real-time (with pause) strategy game.

As someone who is planning on starting using the Giant Bomb API in a serious capacity soon, I'm wondering what this "site redesign" will mean for the current API. Will there be an entirely new API with major changes, or only small incremental changes to the existing API?

I'm not asking for maintaining backwards compat here, just what to expect with the redesign.

Also I'm able to call these without an API key. And the names of fields is also different from the regular API. So ... maybe this shouldn't be documented where it's at if it's not the same API?

Ah. It's the documentation that is incorrect. The endpoint is actually /video/current-live and not /current-live.

The following endpoints all results in 404 for me:

/current-live

/get-saved-time

/save-time

/get-all-saved-times

Also, the documentation of these endpoints has a typo in it. The URL says /videohttps://

Yes. I believe the argument will be that most "1.0" releases are broken in some ways or another anyway that a final release doesn't really mean anything.

I might be in a minority here but I kind of wish the API would be available without SSL as well, to still be optional. (Everything else on the site should force SSL , though.)

Reason is that I wanted to implement the HTTP requests myself and not rely on thirdparty software for SSL and TLS, etc. With regular http I could really easily just open a TCP socket and write the expected headers.
