@jesus_phish: Maaan I really hope it isn't a Fallout Online. A switch port of "a" Fallout game seems extremely likely given Bethesda's work with Doom, Skyrim, and Wolfenstein. That'll be your, "and wait - there's more!"

I hope it's Fallout 3 or New Vegas being remastered in a whole new Creation engine, it would make sense as a test run for a new entry in Elder Scrolls or Fallout - and it would be nice to see those worlds utilizing new tech. It would also be nice to have them mess around in a new engine with a remaster rather than releasing a new entry in their big IP's with that patented Bethesda bug mess.

And remember, no one else is doing games like this, so their bugs are understandable. :P

Everything about the DS remaster seems underwhelming, but I hold hope for the Switch ports performance - cause I just want to play it in bed/on the toilet.

Yeah. The word "scrub" in regards to people is dumb enough, but applying it as a derogative term for a sub-set of people that enjoy the same thing as you in a different manner is absolutely stupid.

Gameplay looked like a good time, the weird thing for me now is I’m hoping some of the first Rage is still in there. I really enjoyed the ai in Rage and the way they made the battles feel. I’m down to play this anyway. That box art is fucking garbage.

Dark cloud 2 is pretty fun. It has a really robust system where you take pictures of the environment to get inspired to create/craft. (If I’m remembering correctly) My friend and I played it recently with the intention of beating it, but the dungeon crawly bits were really dry and the cool picture system requires you to be diligent in a way I was not. If you miss taking a picture in an early boss fight for example, your shit out of luck. I can get kinda ocd with that shit though so I’d say give it a go.

I’m looking forward to the gameplay footage. I’m ok with the trailer, I kinda cringe at the actors but that’s probably some personal hang up. I also really hope that the mad max “anything” stays far away- as I could see that being a negative paragraph in everyone’s reviews. Including the one I’ll write in my head and leave there.

I'm really surprised it's as prevalent it is on the mediaz. I've given it so many shots in an attempt to actually enjoy it, but it really has no teeth for me.

It's production value or whatever is definitely a spectacle, I just don't think there is any moment to moment/episode to episode hook. Every scene is just bleh. I'm not sure if my disinterest comes from a lack of characters I'm in to or if it's the way the story is touted as something new and interesting.

I tried altered carbon recently and gave it multiple "shots" in a similar fashion, but holy shit that main character is not my thing. Nor is the awefull police procedural side story/characters. But ofcourse I'll have another "it can't be that bad" moment and try again.

I am very much excited, but would recommend no one get their hopes up.

everyone please give Prey a chance if you can get it on sale or whatever. I'm replaying it on Nightmare mode going for the "only alien skills" achievement and having a blast. It really does provide an atmosphere and world worth exploring every nook and cranny. I'd recommend going in cold if you haven't already read reviews/interpretations/etc. as the world exploration is superb.
