Forget top 10 lists, here's a list of every single game I beat in 2016!

A week late, but whatever!

I thought the battle system was fantastic, but the story and characters were so bubbly/sickly sweet/anime that it kinda made me want to vomit. And little things like having to go to Tiki every single time you wanted new weapons or skills was supremely annoying. There's no reason that couldn't have just been in a menu instead of having to take me all the way out of a dungeon. And it also sucks how near the end of the game, the game basically makes you go back to every single dungeon again. Even if you do unearth new sections of old dungeons, it still felt like unnecessary padding.

...All that being said, I really really really enjoyed the battle system. I had a ton of fun with the game.

@justin258: I was actually kind of stunned at the performance issues to be honest. Pokemon Sun actually hard locked on me once. That is the first time a Pokemon game has EVER frozen on me, and I've played every main line entry. In fact, that might have been the first time a game on a Nintendo handheld has ever locked up on me.

Because whoever you are, you sure play Pokemon for vastly different reasons than me. I just beat Pokemon Sun, and I was simply baffled at the abundance of cutscenes. It's been well documented on how the tutorial lasts for far too long, but I was really shocked at how many times the game would take control away from you and show you yet another cutscene throughout the entire game. Far too much it felt like I was tapping A to skim the dialogue as quickly as I could just so I can get a move on.

Now, it's one thing if the story and characters were any good, but to me, it was basically the same cookie-cutter plot from every other Pokemon game: new kid comes into town, you stop the evil corporation from using Pokemon for nefarious reasons, you become champion, the end. It just did nothing for me.

I've played every main entry in the Pokemon series, and this is the first time in which I've actively disliked a Pokemon game. The over abundance of story, the performance issues, and the heavy reliance on old Pokemon (if I wanted to fight that many Raticates and Golbats I would've popped in Pokemon Red) really bummed me out.

After hearing it on the GOTY deliberations so much, I've decided to play some goddamn Superhot. And man, the game is fucking awesome.

Although, I seem to super suck at Superhot. I'm at the bar level, the level in which the shotgun is first introduced and I can't seem to beat this level. Do I just suck or did anyone else think this game was pretty challenging?

I'm glad it's hard though. Even with the Steam winter sale, it was about 17 bucks, so I was still a little hesitant in buying it. Knowing that it's a challenge and has some legs to it makes me feel better about throwing down so much money for a potentially short game. But with the way I'm playing, I'm probably making this game way longer than it is.

I actually think the Xbox has better exclusives than the PS4. Rise of the Tomb Raider, Inside, Sunset Overdrive, Forza Horizon 2/3, Gears of War, etc. Yeah, I know, some of these games came to other consoles later, but I played these right when they came out, when they were only on the Xbox.

PS4 has great exclusives too (Uncharted for example) but I just don't think they have the sheer amount of exclusives that the Xbox has.

That being said, I almost play all of my third party games on the PS4. The Xbox One controller doesn't feel as good as a Dualshock 4 cause I think the right and left bumpers are positioned in a weird way, making me have to adjust in an awkward fashion every time I hit the bumpers. Not a big deal, but the Dualshock 4 is an excellent controller, so I'd rather just go with that.

Mario Party Party 8 simply due to the ending. I don't remember the last time I laughed so hard during a GB video. I'm convinced that shit is scripted.

So I wanted to watch The Godfather Part II, but I watched the original Godfather like 8 years ago, when I still was in high school, so I decided to watch it again to get a refresher.

...Um, yeah...that's a really fucking good movie. I don't want to blow anyone's mind or anything, but that Godfather...pretty damn good movie. I know, it's a really controversial opinion, but I just wanted to put that out there.

The interactions between the 5 families, the drama of the Corleone family, Michael's relationship with Kay... What a masterpiece in cinema.

I must have been a really dumb teenager to not realize what a fucking classic The Godfather is when I watched it for the first time.
