I'm usually so pumped for Evo, but after Street Fighter V was dull last year, and the way that game has been... I'm not feeling it as much this year.

Disappointing, but... now that I think about it, I'm looking forward to Xrd, KOF, Tekken, UMVC3 and DBZ!!

Most years I've only cared about Street Fighter and MVC3... SF left behind. ;(

I tend to believe that one of the most successful companies ever know more about their own finances than any of us are ever likely to.

This should be the part where someone links to the Nintendo page!

However, it is terrible for the Xbox brand since it's made itself almost completely useless.

Exactly, to me the Xbox One is now nothing more than a consumer friendly box that runs a stripped down "walled garden" version of Windows.

I think they have elevated Sony's platform, rather than try to equal or surpass it. Maybe it seems great for someone with a very poor PC/laptop or just a tablet, but Microsoft lost me as an Xbox owner for sure now. I was original Xbox and Xbox 360 all the way over the last generations.

Phil even said in his interview with Jeff that consoles don't make them any money, its all about the software. Im sure they're thrilled about selling you software and getting you on Windows 10 without having to sell you a console. MS is giving people options to play shit where they want to play it and I can't really complain about that. Now they just need to fix the God awful Windows Store.

I've been on Windows 10 for years (since day one actually), it's a better operating system and performs better than its predecessors. I'm sure Microsoft are not selling consoles at a loss and like I said, I am also not buying any peripherals from them which is another loss!

Microsoft have definitely lost money from me so that's why I think it's bad for them. Depends on how many people have the same mindset/situation as I. I was gearing up to buy an Xbox One before Play Anywhere but now it's off the table.

You are right that a lot of people don't want to deal with a PC. I have a blind spot to that because I've been dicking around with computers since I was like, 12, (rest in peace, AMD 64 CPU that I bent the pins of).

Experienced a few in Asia, the scariest thing about them for me is not so much the quake itself but the fucking earthquake alarm... definitely not something you want to wake up to.

So my last purchase on the final day was L.A. Noire because of the thread on here about it recently. I heard the DLC is good and integrates into the main story. I barely remember anything about the game (clunky gameplay aside) so I'm looking forward to giving it another shot. Originally played it on the PS3 back in '11.

For the most part, I like to fill the screen (with the correct aspect ratio), and then use a scanline overlay. Yeah, I know, I'm one of those people.

Great theme, great idea, great acting/great voice work.

But what a fucking slog it was to play. If they can fix that I'd be into it, but everything about the first felt so clunky and the ending was a little lackluster from what I can remember.

Tempted to give it another shot on Steam while it's on sale.

You said it best in the OP, Injustice 2 is a fighting game for casuals. Just about every Netherrealm fighter is, I don't understand how they have fans.

Obviously Tekken 7 is going to be deeper and IMO more fun to play, but Injustice 2 definitely has its place and will almost certainly outsell Tekken several times over.

Pretty much, although I'm not so sure about the sales. Tekken is usually a great seller and it's on more platforms than Injustice this time around. For example, Tekken has outsold Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat overall at the franchise level (over 10 million more than MK).

Tekken 7 is a much better fighting game for people that care about fighting games.

Injustice 2 is much better for "casual" players that want to have some single player content and won't be playing longer than a few weeks.

I still dislike NRS games, the archaic juggles and stilted animations turn me off. They don't move as fluidly as most other fighters, I have a big problem with that. I wish NRS would actually do something about this because Injustice 2 and MKX haven't done anything to alleviate these core issues I have (originating from MK9).
