If you trust Brad's opinion at all then yes. Get the DLC (not Omega) and wait until after to play Citadel, according to Brad Leviathan really patches a lot of the holes. I get the feeling it wouldn't change my opinion of the ending too much, but the game aside from the last 10 mins is amazing so definitely its worth capping of the trilogy for yourself.

This game beat you over the head a little more than something like Journey, there were also some rather poor gameplay moments, and I don't think it did a great job of endearing you to the characters as individuals. I really didn't feel like the big emotional moments the game was going for were earned by the end. I enjoy games of this genre, but this was a little obvious, at times inartful and I got far more from the Swapper, Route Zero, Papers Please and Device 6, this was thematically and emotionally a little simpler/less effective. A good game but not something to go crazy over.

Luckily enough I live in an area where artisan coffee is ubiquitous.

here in Australia artisan coffee, real beans, good roasters are everywhere. A lot of local places even support communities in Africa by developing bean growing villages, building infrastructure and providing well paid work.

Reports from anyone I know who's been to America is that the coffee over there is largely terrible and that we are spoilt for options and quality over here.

Brad still seems undecided as to what he's going to play. On unprofessional fridays Jeff suggested, day of the tentacle. My suggestion would be biomotor unitron for neo geo pocket colour.

What would you like to see on Brad's extra life stream? (preferably awesome older games)

From a cafe I just have a Latte, no sugars, lets me easily compare between coffee places, at home I have plunger coffee, black with 1 sugar, easiest way to do non-instant coffee at home.

@arbitrarywater: I'm usually pretty positive on their lists, but I was a little disappointed by last year's. Other than me not really getting into XCOM (I prefer fire emblems approach far more) and Walking Dead (some of those plot points, geez they were ordinary), I'm in the minority there. I feel like Syndicate, Zombie U and even Sleeping Dogs were weak additions. Dishonored and Borderlands 2 (way better than the 1st and the humour wasn't that bad, Jeff poisoned the well for everyone else on that one) got the short shrift a little unfairly. Other games like FTL and Hotline Miami (a five star game from Alex) would have been both stronger and more interesting choices than a reasonable looking shooter and an average looking zombie game. I'm slightly speaking from ignorance but FTL and Hotline Miami were novel and I feel were more representative of 2012 being really strong for indie/downloadables.

@arbitrarywater: I really hope Patrick comes through for me this year with Fire Emblem, he let me down last year by leaving behind Dishonored and championing Zombie U. Based on bombcast discussions I can't see GTA beating out Bioshock, I know some people have issues with the combat, but I'm pretty sure the giantbomb guys liked it, thought it was more than serviceable and they all loved the story, even devoting several hours of livestream to the ending and discussion. GTA seems to have had more of a "yeah its still good but its more GTA" response.

@johncallahan: just relax, people are just talking about their favourite games so far are and what the big games for the giant bomb guys have been. I don't think there are many who are saying, the year's done by any means. Of course things can come out that might make or even top lists, but its just a bit of harmless fun to speculate and celebrate the games so far.

@smtdante89: me too, I don't get why people have a problem with others making lists of so far this year. Even saying my goty so far is whatever and that it probably won't be topped is fine, if you have a strong response to something you can probably tell if that experience is going to be hard to beat. People putting games where they "think" they would be if they had played them is a bit silly though.

I also feel like year walk, the stanley parable, tomb raider and animal crossing will probably end up on 1 or 2 individual lists, but will struggle to make the group top 10.
