Video Games, The Year 2017, The Number Ten and me

My top 10 list. The annual "Game of the ok" award this year goes to Yooka Layleewhich did not make my list.

Also I wrote this before playing Finding Paradise, which I won't have time to beat before 2018 so I might come back and edit this.

List items

  • The best Zelda game I have played,I feel like its only flaws are the weapons breaking and the lackluster story, but those can be seen as nitpicks and open world and everything you can do it is such a fun experience that it overshadows all of that, and I have all these gameplay moments that are unique to me and I am going to remember for a long time.

  • YOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

  • Stands up there with the great 3D Mario Games, maybe even at the front of the pack. My love for 3D games, along with the fun moves you can pull off, the crazy worlds you visit and unique capture mechanic bump it above Cuphead for me.

  • Forget the amazing music and the jaw dropping aesthetic and animation, this game is so high on my list just due to how fun and good the game play feels. Amazing video game, also a great game to play with a friend

  • This game engrossed my life when it came out and I fell in love with it, everything in this game works together in harmony to make a near flawless game. If you decide to play one game from this list make it this one.

  • The only game on this list I haven't beaten the story of, but regardless I am many hours in and can tell this is a great RPG. I still prefer the original Xenoblade Chronicles over this, but 2 is much better than Xenoblade Chronicles X

  • Great game all around with the soundtrack and style oozing excellence, but overall didn't leave a long lasting impression on me.

  • I mostly enjoy this game as a sim and something to make characters with, but the the gameplay is both solid and fun to play, I just find its more entertaining to watch Hank Hill fight Ganondorf and let the machine decide who wins, as it understands ring psychology better than I do

  • I hated this game when it came out, but I soon realized the only way I enjoy it is in 1v1 fights, and this game really shines when you play it with someone who knows how to play, If you didn't enjoy this when it came out I recommend finding a friend who plays it and having some matches.

  • This years great narrative game that sits at the bottom of my list.
