I'm probably the crazy person here, but I'm pretty happy with having only owned a Wii U for the past 3 years. Most of the "big" 3rd party games from this cycle have been underwhelming to flat out uninteresting to me, and the Xbone and PS4's line up of exclusives are still rather paltry, even 3 years in. I'll have to get a Xbone whenever Scalebound comes out, but as someone who has a PS1, two PS2s, and two PS3s, the PS4 has not convinced me at all.

I can't speak for John Wick, but Jack Reacher is a profoundly dumb movie. In a good way I guess, but it feels like the most straight forward action protagonist parody I've seen this side of Last Action Hero. Its watchable just to see how goofy a character can brood. Its like the store brand version of Jason Bourne. I don't expect its sequel to be any different.

I'm all for quirky games that never found their audience being revived on modern systems. Kinda hoping Conker: L&R gets a similar update and re-release.

speaking of xbox 360 compatibility i've seen someone try to stream bayonetta running on the one but there was a lot of frame rate drops and slowdowns has anyone experienced anything similar?

Not sure if that's a streaming issue or what, but Digital Foundry didn't have many qualms with it. Its got some drops, but its pretty on par with the original 360 and Wii U.

I kind of want those Ratchet PS3 games on one disc. Kind of been wanting to play that "trilogy" again after the reboot didn't do it for me.

I literally don't think that's possible. Tools of Destruction, Quest for Booty, Crack in Time, and Into the Nexus probably wouldn't fit on a single blu ray.

I'd settle for just a ToD patch that fixes that damn audio syncing problem during cutscenes.

Super Robot Taisen: OG Saga: Endless Frontier. I had heard about the SRW series and saw it was published by Atlus. What I found was a lot of boob jokes, a fun balance of embracing and breaking tropes, and the most fun combat system I've ever experienced in a JRPG. Its like if DMC had turn based combat. Its one my favorite games of all time now.

I'm so goddamn mad they didn't bring the sequel to the west.

Special mention to Condemed: Criminal Origins. I had tried Condemned 2, hated it, and never thought about C1. Fast forward to Matt n' Steve's Fear Gauntlet series, and I immediately went out and got a copy after watching the first episode. Aside from the end, its a great horror game.

Its more of a case of it being a shitty game instead of something that didn't "click" with me, but I was super excited for Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness. When I finally got it with my birthday money, before reading any reviews, I discovered that game was complete dog shit. After that I always waited for reviews and usually for steep discounts if it was outside my preferred genres.

@vuk49: That's less on Nintendo's head and more on the endless shit Silicon Knights has done to themselves. Picking fights with Epic, their lead writer being arrested, Dyack's general attitude about things, a duo of oft delayed and terrible games, etc. I mean, I guess Nintendo could theoretically make their own sequel to a game that didn't sell well in the first place, but it wouldn't be the same.

I quickly, and perhaps foolishly, recommend pretty much everything by Clover/Platinum. Specifically Bayonetta and Okami, but Viewtiful Joe, God Hand, Vanquish, and Wonderful 101 are easy recommendations as well.

I think the 3DS version is pretty ok, at least I haven't heard of any issues.

Not sure what you mean by dark Gameboy color games, but Links Awakening is a must. I would also recommend Tetris, Pokemon Red/Blue, and Super Mario Land 2 (personally not a huge fan of the first one). I don't have a ton of experience with the original GB but those are the ones that I have really enjoyed.

He means colored GB carts. There were a ton of Game Boy Color games that could be played on the original GB. They were usually black cases, but stuff like Pokemon Silver and Gold can be played. The GBC games with the clear plastic can ONLY be played on GBC or higher.
