I'd just like updates at this point.

An ETA on when they will be trying to let people in again. That's all. Not too much to ask I don't think. 24+ hours of silence and guessing is driving people nuts...

2 minutes till we all rage against the machine.

Gave up for the day. About 10-12 hours fighting any button.

Got in 5 times.
Got to play 5 matches. 2 matches were perfect. 2 matches had roll back here and there. Last match d/ced me as I was about to win.

Characters played: All except Chun Li.

Character most liked: Ryu. I spent most of my time with him. I HATE Ryu in EVERY SF ever, or versus game. I in general hate shotos. Ryu in SF5 though? That's my jam! Love him. He flows so much better, hits so much harder, and just gels with me now. LOVE him. I was parrying this, that, and the other thing. That last match I was about to win I was about to win with me parrying Chun Li's double jump in attack, into a standing button, and I had just done low forward fireball into super, and boom it killed it. :(

Second most liked character is a tie between Birdie and Cammy. I liked all of Birdie's move set. Cammy had a lot of great changes to make her feel super fresh, and made me want to experiment what I can combo with her.

Nash was my most hyped to play, and I was not feeling it. At all. Combos just weren't flowing. Awkward all around.

M. Bison was dope, but not my jam either. Seems quite strong though.

Tomorrow the new battle against 21007 begins.

If I could at least get into training I'd live... but title screen mega block makes me rage beyond normal sodium levels.

That and the above blurb about stick malfunction does make sense. It was handled like it should have been.

Yes it is S.Kill! It came from that amazing art that was floating around pre-EVO of all the heavy hitters and commentators in this art style. So dope.

Okay good.

However, one part of the rules seems... off. "If the game cannot be restarted from the exact point of interruption, the player is forced to forfeit the game." They didn't start right from that round. The time had to tick away, Gbee got two hits, the game was paused towards the end again, then a new stick was found, and then the third and last round was started.

The rules don't state how the forfeit of the round is to take place either. Do we just add an invisible "okay Gamer is up one round even though it says Momochi is up 1-0 right now" and then continue from this point onward as if this is the 1-1 point?

The whole thing is meh to me. 100% anti hype.

Wow what a top 8. I really wanted Infiltration to win it all, but was rooting for Gamerbee in the grand finals.

What a craptastic way for it to wrap up. I SWEAR the rules were if your stick does shit like that then you win the entire game, not just the round... Are EVO rules written anywhere in regards to stick malfunctions/pauses? Bee is a better guy than me. I would have been calling for a game win. Sorry bra... shoulda bought MadCatz you done goofed!

Easily the best EVO since Evo Moment #37 back in the day.
