As you progress through the story?  I want to do all of the challenges, stranger missions, outfits, etc etc.  I've read that if you beat the game you lose your chance at one stranger mission but I was wondering that as long as you don't finish the final story mission do you ever do something that prevents you from going back and picking up random things you need?

Once the story is completed, all the stranger missions you didn't complete are erased. Everything else is still available though, from challenges to collecting outfits.

Actually you can still complete all the stranger missions, except for one. Also that one does not count for 100% "
