@natetodamax: Sounds to me like you just can't handle the truth. In fact I wouldn't be surprised if you thought Friends was a funnier show than Seinfeld. *PUKE*

@VelvetLore04: The world and everyone with taste disagrees with you.

@Brodehouse: I find the characters so far in the Uncharted series to be totally one-dimensional and not at all interesting -- the hero, the villain, the love interest, etc. etc.

I think the ultimate argument for any of this should be: "I don't like this game/movie/book/whatever. Why? Fuck you, that's why."

You know, you're right. I always felt I lacked the discipline to finish one of their games. And it bugs me to no end. I had the same problem with Borderlands and completing tasks to finish it. Games like Mass Effect and Jagged Alliance 2 I had no problems with because I felt it easy to stay or get back on the linear path. One of these days I'll finally beat Bully or RDR.

Because I love that game so much that there's not enough ''like'' left for RDR in the world for Jeff to gash on it. <3

My favorite solution to all of this shit: "People who don't like what I like are wrong and dumb, and I will smile smugly to myself enjoying my superiority as a human being because of it."

Whats not to get? It means that he played the game and waited for that moment where he was like "yea, this game is great. Now I get what everyone was talking about", but that never happened.

Not regarding the topic, but after reading the things that jeff hates, how can he hate Bruce Campbell, "Aliens", Jerry Seinfeld and his show, Resident Evil, and superheroes?
It is very easy to hate Seinfeld. That show is and was a piece of shit. But on topic...I have nothing else to add. Dude doesn't have to like popular games rabble rabble rabble
Fuck you, Seinfeld was and always will be the funniest show to ever grace television.
Arrested Development was a far superior show. Hell, Night Court was a funnier show.
AD lasted three seasons. You can't really compare that to Seinfeld, which lasted for nine. If you take the three best seasons of Seinfeld and compare them to AD, the argument is very different. There is a reason why Seinfeld is regarded as the greatest sitcom of all time and is still on the air numerous times every day over a decade after it ended.

It's a well known fact that Jeff hates good games- people follow him for his personality- not because he's got a good taste in games.

I personally cannot get into most JRPGS. The way they portray the characters is just very off putting for me. So while I adore RDR, I can understand why Jeff wouldn't like it.

Listen to this for him having to openly discuss this.

In an observer's nutshell, he had already played through the janky things in GTAIV and was not willing to do it a second time. Also, the open world is a bit too wild for him and the gameplay drove him away incredibly quickly.

it was probably because everything was held by the hand. Everything recharged, aiming was automatic, and text on the bottom always told you what to do.

Well, he never said he hated it.  It sounds like he just didn't take to it too well.  He didn't like the way the game controlled, which is fine.  He admits that the game looked like it held critical value--this is made clear in the GOTY deliberations from late last year.

To be honest, it bothers me also. For "normies" like us it's a perfectly valid way to dismiss something. However, I feel like someone who is in the business of reviewing games--or anything for that matter--should at least articulate something a bit more elaborate than a weak, nebulous phrase.

People are allowed to hate the occasional great game. There are great games that I personally dislike a great deal as well.

Jeff also would not even take a look at Left 4 Dead 2, which was an awesome game.

I didn't like it. I can't stand the constance  prejudice and hill billy hickery of the west and lack for human life. John Marston  is a terrible bland boring character , So happy he dies.
