Oversized pests such as rats or bugs are often used as low level enemies in role playing games. They can be found in most any Western RPG, especially ones that use the Dungeons and Dragons rule set.
The foil of almost every early RPG lover, these rodents often live in sewers. While most rats are simple targets, games like Ratatouille make them the hero.
Characters who at some point possess the ability to shrink in size.
Skulltula are spider-like enemies that are common in the Legend of Zelda series. Their abdomen is skull-shaped. They attack when prey gets near, and can only be damaged by attacking their sensitive underbelly, or weak spot.
The Thwomp is a villain from the mario franchise. He is most commonly found in castle stages.
These giant stone creatures are constantly trying to squish Mario under their own weight.
