    A Danish studio founded in 1997, the staff of which formed IO Interactive in 1998. Following IO's success, Reto Moto laid dormant until 2008, at which point it began its own development.

    Overview

    Originally founded in 1997, Reto Moto is a video game developer based out of Copenhagen, Denmark. One year into the company's existence, Reto Moto and Nordisk Film founded IO Interactive, developer of the Hitman franchise. Following the Hitman series' success, Reto Moto was made dormant to prioritize future Hitman titles, before Reto Moto's re-founding in 2008.

    In 2011, the company announced its first game, Heroes & Generals. Originally, Reto Moto had negotiated for Square Enix to publish the game, however by the game's 2016 release date, Reto Moto had shifted to self-publishing the title.
