With the release of the RockBand 3 Fender Squier guitar on the horizon, I was wondering if anyone planned on getting one?  I love RockBand and actually play guitar as well...will this be a match made in heaven or a complete waist of money?  What say you GiantBomb community?

I'd sure like to get one, but I don't think I'll have the extra funds to afford it. But I may be able to wing it, we'll see. The thought of a game actually teaching me even the basics of guitar playing is very interesting. I've never learned an instrument, and using this method to learn is really appealing.

It seems like a very high quality product. If you're interested in the pro mode stuff and learning some guitar basics, then you shouldn't be disappointed. I wish I could afford one myself. Maybe it can be a birthday present or something.

Ya, I'm looking into getting it on one of those special occasion times. I don't have the time/money at the moment to put into getting this and learning it. It does look good as a starter guitar and I hope they will be in good supply. It sounds like they aren't making too many, so who knows how long it will be available.

I'd be interested if it wasn't so damn expensive.

I'm planning on getting one at some point.  I'm really in no rush, though, as I already have the Mustang Pro and I have a couple of real guitars.

Mmm I'd get it if I already had a base of guitar skill to work with, but I'm just not good enough for the amount of money you gotta pour into it.

While it looks like a well built product that actually works, I won't be getting one because I play Hendrix :(

I'd get one without question or hesitation if they released a left-handed model.

My buddy planned on picking one up. I'll have to confirm that he's gonna do it.

I was interested in getting it. The more and more I think about it I'm starting to talk myself out of it though. Still on the fence. It's hard to say, if you are really interested in playing guitar and playing Rock Band maybe you should go for it. $280 is quite a lot for a gaming peripheral but it is a real guitar as well so...who knows. Wait for some reviews?

I'd love to have one but the price is just too much for me.

Pre-ordered mine the day it went up for sale on Best Buy's website. :)  Can't wait to get it and start playing.  Now if I could just find the midi adapter for the 360...

from what I understand, it can ONLY be used in pro mode... which seems dumb considering the lack of songs that support pro guitar/bass
