@Vortextk: Haha, yeah I was actually going to mention her work as Kaine but didn't. It was a bit jarring at first only because I wasn't used to her doing such a voice before, but that surprise wore off quickly and I really liked her voice work in it. Also, yes, Nier's soundtrack is one of the greatest to come along in a long time. Absolutely adore it.

I agree with your stance on her voice in Catherine. I really much prefer her more mature voices over her girly girl ones. Star Ocean 4 is an interesting game to contrast two examples with her voicing both Reimi and Welch in completely different pitches and tones. And yeah, it does suck there is such a small pool of great actors we have to choose from, which, as you said, leads to "I've heard this voice in EVERYTHING", but not much we can do about that unless we start idolizing VOs like they do in Japan or something... *shrugs*

I have to say, ladies look pretty good in the Deckers outfit.

Played as a female cause voice 1 sounded the best from the limited bits you could hear in the character creator, didn't realize who the actress was. Laura Bailey fucking nailed the role. Which is extra suprising cause I only know her for Chun-li and pestering the hell out of me every single battle in persona 4. "Senpai, yukiko senpai is hurt!"
 
  I was very surprised to learn she's actually a great voice actress, because my experience previously would lead me to believe differently. I guess it was just the voice direction she was given in those games. 

Yes though tried out the male for a couple hours for the achievement with the zombie voice but preferring this character. Agreed with a few others who put something in this forum that one of the female boss voices sounds very close to Jennifer Hale which is probably why I enjoy the voice work/writing with the female protagonist. Really curious though on what happens with the full game with the zombie voice picked out. Shame that the screenshot feature from the Saints Row 3 community site doesn't show the sides better, really enjoying the interesting tattoos on her hands as well as some of the other options in the outfits available.

@Vortextk: I too didn't know he was the voice of Vincent, but it did seem damn familiar. Thanks for that.

Also the male voices are all a bit crummy.

Before I bought Saints Row 2 I read a review that called the Boss an "amoral sociopath".

So I chose to model my character after my ex-girlfriend in SR2 and SR3. Worked out pretty well. I'll probably do a male playthrough next but I just don't like any of the male voices except for Troy Baker.

I used the Cockney voice in Saints Row 2, but I turned it down in The Third because it sounds worse.

Pretty neat that Downes does the voice, though.

I did for about an hour but the female voice actresses are pants, and nothing beats my handlebar moustachioed cockney wank-aaaaaaa.

Playing as a female as well, and actually chose voice 2 and thought it was easily the best. I've yet to try voice 1 though.

Played it through as a female on voice 1, somewhat regret it, but it could just be because I rarely play as female characters in video games.

Just beat it with female voice 1. I want to try the other voices, but female voice 1 will always be the real "Boss" in my heart.

I usually choose female character though anyway because the standard male video game hero bores me to tears (I would hate to play as the default male Shephard in Mass Effect, for example)
