Persona 4 The Animation - Thread
That action scene in the beginning was great. I like when the show gets all high-budget like that and creates some really good-looking stuff. And Naoto's awkwardness was adorable.
I'm still wary about how they'll cram the rest of the story into so few episodes, but for now I have to give props to one of the best episodes so far.

I do hope that Golden throws the fans a curveball and makes Shadow Nanako a New Game + feature.
Man, around the time the Golden was announced, someone posted this fan art in one of the forums, and I thought it was going to be some badass new feature (because it kinda looks legit).
@Bocam:
Everything I know about Japanese culture I learn from video games. That's why I'm pretty sure Japan resolves all its interdimensional demon problems with giant mechs.
@TooWalrus:
I don't know; something about that just feels wrong. What happened to the cute, cheerful Nanako I thought was pretty cool?
@TooWalrus:
Mine's shit, too, but I'm guessing it says something along the lines of "My, my, Nana-chan, you've become a fine young woman." And that picture's even worse than the other one. Maybe I need to see all the intermediate steps toward this grown-up Nanako.
@TooWalrus: "Tee-hee... Nana-chan, you've become a BEARy beautiful woman."
Here are the other two
Doujima Nanako: It feels like I know this person from somewhere...
Text in the upper left: Sensei, who came back after becoming a teacher.
Choices:
1. I'm sorry, I have Chie...
2. I'm sorry, I have Junes(Yosuke)
3. Whatever.
Textbox: Onii-chan... I'm already 16 years old now... Say... do you remember what you said back then?
This thread got really weird while I was away.
Also, Shadow Kanji is waaaaaaaaaaaaaaay more important than a "big lipped alligator moment."

To be fair, just look:
Mind finding a more fitting combination than that? Believe me; I can go weirder.

To be fair though, Guilty Crown has some pretty big names working on it and Bakemonogatari sold buttloads so no wonder that both of those have hell of money behind them.
Yeah, but Persona 4 is Atlus' highest-selling title so I would've figured they'd put more investment in making it look great from top to bottom.
The Namatame fight was pretty cool. Still not as good at the Mitsuo fight though. I liked that the rest of the team got a bit of action this time, fighting Yu no less. I liked that whenever Yu changed to a certain Persona I'm enough of a fanboy to know which member of the team wasn't going to get owned, like Yosuke with Atropos and Kanji with Tam Lin. Still, Naoto should've busted out some Light skills when Beelzebub was preparing to fuck shit up. I would've thought that would be the perfect moment for her to get her moment in the spotlight like the rest did after they got their Personas. Speaking of Naoto, her little bit of development was nice. I like her far more in the anime than I do in the game. It seems like she emotes more, I dunno, she's just better.
I knew this episode would be rough at the end. I thought for a bit they were gonna do the whole thing from Nanako's POV. That would've been brutal. Very much looking forward to some confrontations and revelations next week.

I always enjoyed the concept of a Shadow Nanako. Was disappointed that that never happened in the game.
I'm not, to be honest. It makes sense that there wouldn't be a Shadow Nanako because, as is noted by the game and the anime, she's too young to have dark or unwanted traits of her personality buried away. At this point, she's just an innocent child that feels she has nothing to hide, because children her age typically wear their thoughts on their sleeves and don't try to hide things away.

Using VGChartz to make a point. How cute. It's almost like you believe their numbers are based on fact.
@Hailinel:
Where else am I supposed to get my numbers? I really don't know of any other sources (is the NPD online or something?). Besides, in quite a few instances, I doubt I could find numbers anywhere else. Like here, for instance.

VG Chartz makes their shit up. They do not have actual facts to back up their numbers.
Seriously, don't click this until you've watched the episode, even if you've played the game.
So for anyone wondering which girl Yu picks.
It's Yosuke.
Still thinking that the last episode will be an hour long special (or secretly hoping at least)
In other news, holy fuck this episode. The anime loves trolling the fans.
Just, agreed with everyone.
...
THE WORLD IS FULL OF SHIT, YOU GUYS~
I'm a bit confused on this. Did Teddie sacrifice himself to bring Nanako back to life? Or did she come back on her own? Is there something I'm missing?
Teddie was definitely involved in some way, but we'll probably either never get the full explanation or we'll have to wait for Golden/Arena to fill in the blanks.
@Video_Game_King: Bonds of people is the true power. They'll probably explain it some in the next episode.
In regards to Teddie disappearing, he realized what he really was, and that realization evicted him from the human world, or whatever you want to call it.
[strike] Also, because Teddie is the Star Arcana, and you make wishes on stars. [/strike]
Kanji looked fucking scary in this shot.
That entire scene was done really, really well. The shading/lighting was perfect.
@NIveous
When you wish upon a star... etc etc.
those flashbacks were really cool added some character.
over/under on the number of bitches dropped next episode. going with 3
Dont see how they can have the adachi stuff, amino-sagir, true ending and wrap the show up
