The axe is a tool used for many activities. Its uses include cutting wood, knocking down doors in emergencies, and rending your enemies limb from limb without mercy or regret.
A barrel is a hollow cylindrical container, traditionally made of wood staves and bound with iron hoops. In video games, it is used in many ways to fill up a level or even be used in one. They also may explode. Use caution when around barrels.
Beards are visible facial follicle growth, commonly associated with adult male homo sapiens. In video games, beards are commonly found in character customization systems (i.e. Rock Band) or when pirates are involved (i.e. the Monkey Island series).
Some games have readable books. Come and quench your thirst for knowledge.
Shines light in dark places and sets things on fire. Some are magical.

A magic staff is a large, thick stick or stick-shaped object usually with a medallion or amulet connected to the top. It is mostly used for its magical capabilities, but can also be wielded as a light melee weapon.
A map is a drawing on a piece of paper, or other surface, that indicates the locations of various landmarks.

An implement for smoking. The bowl is filled (usually with tobacco) and lit with a flame, then the smoke is inhaled through the mouthpiece.

A potion is any sort of liquid, usually brewed by an alchemist, that replenishes the health, mana, or energy of the player, or causes damage to an enemy. Potions are extremely common in role-playing games.
Often rings represent power in games. Games that have rings are mostly fantasy games.
A chair that can rock, usually seen with grandmothers sitting in them. Rocking chairs are not generally found in most games, and are considered a rarity.
A corded length of fibers that has many uses.
A scimitar is a sword with a curved blade of Middle-Eastern origin that gained popularity across large parts of Asia, Africa, and eventually Europe.
A stick with a curved blade at the end. Good for cutting grass or chopping heads.
