Whenever I’d see a call with the same first three digits as mine (after the area code) I knew it was just another spam/scam call.

As a ghost freak I just wanna point out that the most recent ghosts you'll find in media and from IRL accounts is from people who are grieving a recently departed loved one. So "haha funny stand up routine caller" nope, very inaccurate, people tend to see ghosts of their loved ones who usually lived in their lifetime so just... kinda weirdly insensitive for a ghost joke--I can handle a ghost joke, you just need to know wtf you're talking about?

This is about the equivalent of going "WHY AREN'T THERE ANIMAL GHOSTS"--there are animal ghosts, you're just not educated enough about people's wild, diverse, and various beliefs about ghosts. Fuckin educate yourself on what you're riffing on--I'm not mad at the Bombers for riffing on the call I'm specifically just like "what the fuck are you on" to specifically the caller, like I'm sorry if you thought that was a super funny *AND VERY ORIGINAL* joke to make but yeah, I've indeed even heard this before.

Ghost freaks are either Christian or otherwise religious or spiritual and we're taken advantage of by grifters or become grifters, that's definitely something to talk about--especially taking advantage of mourning people or making tours out of tragedies where people died, that's the kinda stuff you need to go after. Don't go after people who personally believe they've seen ghosts: that's their shit to deal with unless they're using it to grift people. Sometimes it feels like people attack the believers and don't go after the actual grifters where if you're convincing people there's ghosts that exist and doing tragedy tours turned ghost tours or you're a medium contacting people's dead loved ones--riff, by all means. Don't riff on the person who saw their dead goth GF bc somehow a recently dead ghost who's a fashion plate is so hilarious and impossible for some reason?

I think the ghosts thing falling off after the world wars was because people suddenly started needing to be cremated because of the sheer amount of death, and then that became the standard trend rather than being buried.

before that religion was pushing the idea that at the end of the world you’d be returned to your body which is why people preferred to be buried, so they could bust outta their coffins or graves, and anybody who couldnt (ie cremated bodies) would be stuck in limbo - ghosts!

I know this was a small thing but when Jess was talking about there being a lag to Jesus and Jason mutters about three days, it just cracked me up.

I had blue cheese ants in my house. You could smell them more when they get crushed. I also accidently ate one, but it still tasted like blue cheese so it wasn't bad

I have to know if Jeff noticed if the lady had earbuds in at the time, because at times it can be difficult to tell if your phone or earbuds are playing the sound if the audio is loud enough.
