I have mixed feelings about Lost Odyssey. The setting and lore had great potential - but the main plot was rote and uninteresting, some of the characters / voice acting was terrible and the battles often felt tediously slow.

The writing in the 'Thousand Years of Dreams' short stories was sensational and genuinely moving - it sat in sharp contrast to the mostly bland dialogue in the main game.

Could Ben stop being so god damn cynical? All he does is mock everything.

Love how Jeff stopped just before saying they should make a new Destroy All Humans. With the rumor of a new one coming out, I’d bet he knows that’s actually true.

The Velocity Girl bit was genuinely jaw dropping.

Did they actually think that to attract more women to the console, they'd do it by creating an online "etsy" store for virtual goods so women could sell digital trash in service of a largely male audience?

And then throw in the kicker by saying oh, Velocity Girl doesn't want all the SERIOUS GAMER stuff, so we gave her Bejeweled 2 and backgammon.

I used that recent players list on the xbox dash to generate a friends list of Halo 3 players. This had an amazing consequence: custom games. I could always find some random players to play crazy custom games with off that friends list, and it was a blast. Honestly, it was one of those top video game experiences I look back on.

The mix of 4:3 and 16:9 aspect video is a great time capsule for this era of gaming.

It is worth noting that Windows Media Center was a thing already before the 360 launched. So that DVR stuff wasn't them actually blowing smoke, just them showing support it. You stream it all from your PC.

360 was mind blowing. I love that console so much oh my god. To this day we do not get as many so good single player games. There were MULTIPLE AA and AAA games each month on 360. fantastic titles. Gears series, halo series, The Darkness 2007, Dark Souls 1(it was exclusive at first!), Dead Rising, Lost plnanet, edf, crackdown, mass effect and many many more
