David Warner was the Cardassian from Chain of Command, he's the one that interrogates Picard, such a great episode and such an interesting character.

People losing their minds over MS making cross-gen games is puzzling to me, these are x86 machines and they can scale for a year or two and be a-ok with making some insane graphics/settings on series x and scale it down for one x and one s.

Games for Windows Marketplace is dead, dead. Last I checked, you can still install the client and see the list of games you own, but when you hit download, it will just give you an error. It angers me to this day that they launched new Microsoft Store while giving the middle finger to their existing customers. If they're not going to transfer the library over or offer refunds, the least they could do is offer an apology. This is why I'll never buy games on their new store and I'll rant about it forever.

Oh and it's not just me either - there was a long running thread at microsoft website where a rep responded that they're looking into it, but I think they just silently closed the issue.

So anyway @brad, that Viva Pinata you own, it's gone now.

If Jim Ryan cared about Europe we'd be getting a new singstar and the servers would not be shutting down.

Battlegrounds were added to WoW Classic December 10, like three weeks after the Honor System was added. It is weird having Rorie talk about it as if this has still not happened, but I guess he is only recalling two-month-old complaints and the two or three servers that have a completely screwed faction imbalance.

Super Nintendo World, I wonder if it's (or should be) a modern take on Takeshi's Castle larger scale, with Nintendo and Mario flavouring.

Regarding GOG Galaxy, been using it since the closed beta and i haven't opened other clients manually once since then. I launch every game i can out of that, and i find it really nice that they recently added the tick box to close other clients when you exit a game.

That said i never used other clients to interact with people. I have always done that outside of those. And having to call on the overlay of another client to invite or join a game is literally no hassle.

Side note: The Atari sound hat is dumb, but you can actually get a beanie that also functions as a speaker which is even dumber. Enjoy Jeff.

The last arcade tennis I loved was Hot Shots Tennis: Get A Grip on... PSP. Hell, I still play it. I keep an eye on Clap Hanz hoping for a modern follow-up, but it's been all Everybody's Golf for years.

Edit: the PSP version played far better than the PS2 version, which happened to get a PS4 port. Also had a goofy RPG mode which let you unlock costume bits lol.

Since no one on this episode mentioned it, I'm going to give a shoutout to Super Mega Space Blaster Special Turbo. I've only put about an hour into it so far, but it's such a fun shoot 'em up/bullet hell game. And it's only $3!

In the last few months it seems like Jan gets a lot of chances to mention Filipino culture and food. I'm surprised he seems to have gotten so much of it, as far as I know he's lived in California his whole life, I wouldn't think he'd be able to be so immersed in it. I've lived in Hawaii for twenty years, and it seems easier to stick within your own background group here than in much larger California.

wouldn't the easy bathtub food answer be cotton candy? Fill the tub but shrinks and almost disappears when you put it in your mouth. Anything that's true volume is much smaller once it goes in your mouth/stomach.

The true trick is what can you finish before you have to go to the bathroom.

Some comments on Super Nintendo World coming stateside: You can already see the showroom for Mario Kart at Universal Studios Hollywood being constructed, although Universal Studios has yet to officially confirm that this is what is being constructed. Speculation based on construction progress is that it'll open early next year or even late this year. Rumor is that its important that Japan opens before any US Nintendo ride, even if it completes earlier. Florida is likely to get Mario Kart, Yoshi, and Donkey Kong rides all in a Nintendo wing of their new 4th gate. This also hasn't been officially confirmed.

@doncabesa: yes, visually it should be fairly scalable, but the concern stems from the cpu and ssd speed. the hope for developers to leverage that power someway that would be key for gameplay. digitalfoundry released a video about it.

yes but I had major issue with the DF video. People act like games are made in a few years, but most release titles on new consoles have been in development for 3-5 or more and were originally targeting much lower specs. Once we're 2 or 3 years into the new generation and the studios are fully focused on the new hardware things will be the exact same as they were for the last gen. Ryse was a 360 kinect game, was quickly retooled for the xbox one and was absolutely stunning looking. It's just not a big deal.

I’m not a lawyer, but surely at least half of the suggestions about what to do with the mistaken email on the DoorDash account would be considered credit card fraud. I couldn’t tell if Jeff was giving a jokey-joke MBMBaM answer or not, but he didn’t seem to be trying to make it funny, and the credit card company could possibly investigate if you make a DoorDash order and the actual credit card holder claims they didn’t make that purchase and someone else charged something to their card.

On the bathtub question: I'd go with a bathtub of unpeeled cucumbers. They're mostly water and they don't go bad at room temperature (or if they do it must take a lot of time). You can eat as much as you want of them and you won't have any health problems. Besides their taste is pretty neutral so you know you won't get annoyed eating them.
