I'm a fan of the Giant Bombcast. Have been for some time. I listen every week. But it has been a LONG TIME since I felt the pull of a truly ENTHRALLING thumbnail that I absolutely HAD to hear the context of in a conversation.

What also sucks for the devs in Japan and China, is that a lot of old-school companies believe people are completely incapable of working from home (even when it is entirely possible in practice), and are coming up with a bunch of new stupid rules and measures to do anything BUT allow people to continue working, but from home. Basically, (with exception for places where government did forbid people to come and is arranging for compensation) you either have to stay home and not be paid for this accidental vacation, or continue coming to work at your own risk, until you get sick and will not be paid for the following sick days either.

Taking the rest of the week off work so I can stay inside and play Ori and Nioh 2 stay safe everyone.

Adding to the Division Talk: I don’t know what exactly they did in Division 2 but I’m not having problems in Solo this time. I hated it alone the last time but now it’s gotten waaaay better. The balancing seems to be great for me (and I don’t like very hard games).

On the Xbox one X I was surprised how good the load times are, of course it’s not great compared to PC but fast traveling is absolutely fine for me.

Just started the New York stuff now and I really like it. Especially if you take the time to explore and look at the great world design. I think it’s one of the best environmental storytelling and level design I’ve seen in a long time in a game of that scope.

I think some of my anxiety over this virus is mixed with anxiety over taking care of some older relatives with health issues. One is having a procedure this week, which already has me on edge. I live around Boston and even with just a trip in town, I skipped PAX East. Another part of my problem, aside from general anxiety problems, is I've had too many college bio classes about pandemics and genetics of viruses. Stuff I have read about chimera viruses and mutations just rings too many bells for me with some things I read about this novel virus. I'm actually somewhat relieved to see companies and cities closing down for safety. We haven't seen anything like this in a century. Maybe we've never seen anything like this. Stay safe, everyone. Oh and don't watch 12 Monkeys and too many videos out of China and give yourself panic attacks.

Also, even in JAPAN where most toilets have washlets and you can go without toilet paper if you have a towel, people is STILL created a deficit of toilet paper.

@pm_xenos: Yeah, I live in Korea, and my biggest concern right now is my 86 year old grandmother in the US that is still the musical director for her local HS. It spreads so easily and is hard to contain without proper testing and that scares the bejesus out of me.

I'm surprised that no one brought up the best Mystery Dungeon game: Shiren the Wanderer on the DS. I spent hundreds of hours on it, easily, and I would spend hundreds more if they released it for the Switch.

I'm probably the only person on the internet that doesn't enjoy watching drunken doofs try to be funny so the E3 couch shenanigans never clicked with me. If we don't get anymore, I'm far from bummed. Kinda funny hearing the venom in Jeff's voice discussing the potential loss of that.

@undeadkink: it’s only really the Dave Lang etc group that comes on a bit sauced up, and that’s mostly Johnny. Pretty much 90% of the remaining guests are dead sober and a lot of them are developers with interesting insights into the industry. Phil Spencer is great to have each year. It’s definitely one of the main reasons I look forward to E3 each year - the great developer interviews. I agree that the remaining 10% of slightly drunk game critics from other outlets can be real hit or miss segments.

I have very little third generation relatives left. My last grandparent died in December and I just have 2 great Aunts left. My father is 72, but I don’t think that is elderly. So, luckily I don’t have to worry much about Coronavirus. Famous last words.

Look, I enjoy hearing Jeff screaming about rock hard american hard ons as much as the next guy, but so many ads for so long is a bit much.

@brainscratch: Yeah, right? I'm premium but don't mind the ads so listen to the ad version but was so confused about the number of ads in this one! Didn't really bother me though to be honest, was more just curious if it was a mistake. Last week I think there was an issue with two different SquareSpace ads right after one another.

@brainscratch: CBS uses an automatic system to include ads on their podcasts right? maybe it's some issue with that system

I enjoyed the fact that they skipped using the euphemisms or clinical descriptions usually found in these types of ads, going right to "ROCK HARD DICKS!".

I was able to play through most of the Division 2 solo. There were sections I had to attempt multiple times, however I thought it was generally easier than the first game.

I listened to the free version to hear about all these dicks people are excited for but dang yo, did business dave edit this one? A lot of back-to-back ads. I thought I was listening to a radio station for a minute there.

I'd be super bummed to see Jeff's E3 interviews go away. Alex consistently gets the right people on the couch and Jeff knocks it out of the park just about every single time. Only thing E3 is good for at this point.

I don't know why more people aren't making this connection. Death Stranding runs on the Horizon engine. Guerrilla ported Horizon to PC so Kojima would use that engine for DS, because they already knew there was going to be a PC version of DS after the PS4 version. So they already did the work to get Horizon running on PC, they might as well sell it and get some money out of it.

I have the $30 attach-it-to-your-toilet bidet. I love it. Now I dislike using the bathroom anywhere there isn't a bidet. Someone likened not having a bidet to washing your dishes without water.

In the winter, after your first or second wash/squirt empties out the water in the indoor pipe and pulls in colder water from outside, you can get a numb butt. Call it "refreshing", I guess. The water pressure is adjustable as you are using it-- it's how much you turn the dial. A small turn for a sprinkle, a bigger turn will definitely introduce some new sensations into your life. Warn your guests to turn the dial slowly.

You can get fancy ones with warm water, but I have an apartment and can't be cutting into hot water lines. The $30 cold water one doesn't need any cutting. You just screw in to the existing line with a little adapter. If you try even the cheap one, you'll probably get immediately converted over. The fancier ones I hear are great too if that's in your budget.

It doesn't save much toilet paper, it just makes you MUCH cleaner. You spray and then sort of wiggle to shake off the water and then pat yourself dry with some TP. You could save TP on poos, I guess. You are only wiping once to dry off instead of wiping a bunch of times as you keep trying to clean the area.

I really hope all the energy and resources put toward E3 get rerouted toward a return of The Big Live Live Show this fall. That would be sick.

What's up with amount of ad time in the bombcast these days? Paying premium and still get a 10 minute ad break in the middle?

311 historian reporting in: That helicopter clip is part of 311's Enlarged to Show Detail video series so you can find the full thing there. If I remember right, Shaq is suspended from the leg of the helicopter like in Contra. It's pretty intense. I think right before that scene 311 is smoking weed out of soda can at their hotel.
