Damn I miss Austin. This was one of the better episodes in a while!

I wanna stick up for FTL a bit. It's true that there are a lot of ways to get to the Flagship and have 0 chance of beating it, but I've beaten it on Normal with every ship type, and it's definitely not the case that you need 1 or 2 specific builds to win. I think most of the time, you can win the game if you know what you're doing. But the game does a bad job of teaching where you're screwing up, because it's usually not one specific thing but a lot of little things.

I make them open-faced because

1. Living the celiac lifestyle; good, soft, white bread is fucking expensive
2. WTF is bread there for anyway than dilute the tasty PB&J flavor?

Contrapoint: If you put banana slices in there you need to two slices of bread and should spread seperately so the spreads can penetrate the breadal layer.

Also, The first night of protests in Minneapolis were peaceful, it's when the police started gassing that things took a turn, which they didn't do to the reopen people. One is about trying to reopen businesses and not wearing masks. The other is about trying to stop murders. Defending one and chastising the other, and blaming the dead on protestors and not the police, is willful ignorance.

@discohippoletsgo: There is a pretty big difference between the government "overstepping" by trying to protect people from a pandemic and the police "overstepping" by committing violence against the people they're supposed to protect.

Also, while I won't deny that the government response to the pandemic was flawed and individuals and small businesses didn't get the support they needed, it certainly didn't look like that insufficient support was what was being protested in places like Michigan. It looked to me like the people protesting just wanted to force service industry employees back to work so that they could go back to enjoying those services.

The anti lockdown protesters weren’t demanding a universal ubi (like countries like Canada are enacting during covid), m4a (like every developed nation has had for decades), or other protections such as no lay offs with most or all employee pay being subsidized by the gov during this pandemic.

Instead all of the gop and a good amount of dems voted to bailout the corporations and the affluent while giving the rest of us crumbs of crumbs. But instead of protesting that, the anti lockdown people are protesting for businesses to open, forcing working class people to risk their lives for their livelihood.

I was almost afraid they weren't going to mention Oxygen Not Included but thankfully they did, a game that started as early access and got bi-tri weekly content updates up to release. Wonderful game as well.

@discohippoletsgo: I live in rural ass WY and even here corona virus is definitely something to worry about. And not every business is shut down, people working jobs labeled essential have to work, often with little to no extra benefits despite the risk they’re facing.

Also, where did I say all the anti lockdown protestors are evil and stupid? I do think that some legitimately want to go back to work but that shouldn’t be at the expense of forcing others to risk the health and/or lives of themselves and their family.

Corps and the rich got massive bailouts with little to no strings attached. Why not the rest of us? Why are we the only ones who have to live with rugged individualism when the rich and corporations get to socialize their costs while privatizing their gains?

I mistook you as the same person that called the staff hypocritical for making light of the COVID-19 protests while taking the current protests seriously on the previous page.
