@janman and other dudes near the fires, rinse off those ashes on the car regularly. They will etch and damage the clear coat if left on there.

I've heard rumors of Washington Football Fans ordering their jerseys through DHGate. I have a feeling that none of that money goes to Dan Snyder.

I do like people passionate about Video Games. Preach Sam!

I'm not sure it could ever happen but I'd absolutely love having all the crew's partners/housemates hosting, even if it's just the intro or between breaks or something.

And most importantly no one acknowledge anything.

Spiritfarer is amazing and so much more than I expected. I didn’t even think about this one, another Game Pass Game I wouldn’t have touched without that.

Madden 21 ist broken for me, there were like 23 fumbles in one game I’ve played and even more interceptions, it’s ridiculous. And it’s a shame that it’s never gonna be patched, because they don’t do that. Also the career mode looks and feels much worse than in 20?

So Im gonna Play NFL2K on Xbox again I guess?

Regarding Epic. vs. Apple:

There is a great YouTube channel called Hoeg Law on YouTube (he's a lawyer / head of a law firm) with an entire series of videos breaking down EVERYTHING about this case. It's fascinating!

omg, I was thinking of trying to bring up Among Us to them. I have been watching a shit load of big Twitch streamers play it and it is extremely entertaining to watch. I really don't know how the crew will handle it. Since it's a very aggressive game and I just can't imagine them yelling at each other like that.

Linkin Park by a mile, but it seems to stop having AMVs listed at some point. I am sure there's nothing new people would have started using however

I wrote a whole bunch of stuff but Token error so in short - I thought that Snyder cut trailer looked pretty interesting because I can't think of another time when a fully released movie was recut in such a dramatic way and presented again. It's a very fascinating situation to see how it will turn out because you will essentially get a real directors-ass-cut on this one.

The original Rogue Legacy absolutely had a downward strike, and it sounds like the new one functions much the same. I guess maybe the new game focuses more on it as a core mechanic? In the old game I remember it seeming like a thing I should have been using had I been better at the game, but I mainly just flailed around.

In fact, if I'm not mistaken there was an option to have it trigger just by pressing down in mid-air (i.e. without having to press the usual attack button), suggesting it was seen as a pretty key thing.

Obviously it doesn't really matter and people forget stuff which is fine, but it's kind of weird to hear them make such a big deal about something which in pretty sure was largely identical in the original as if it's some grand innovation.

Dream Theater put out a pretty decent record recently, Distance Over Time. And Mike Portnoy's not back in the band, but he did play drums on John Petrucci's new solo album (out this Friday!) So that's a pretty cool reunion.

I like Ben's "no more movies over 2 hours" platform.

If Epic can set up shop on the app store, does that mean that Coke can set up beverage kiosks inside privately owned supermarkets and mom and pop shops and then sell soda cheaper? Cause that's how this works if taken into the non-digital realm... I still have no idea what Epic thinks they're doing here.. Are they really so oblivious as to think that the phones aren't just displays for the store? Like... sony and nintendo etc don't make a lot of money off of the devices, it's all about the store.. If you bypass their cut, guess what? Sony doesn't make any money... If you bypass Apple's cut, guess what? Apple doesn't make the money they need to fill up their money vault, err, I mean do R&D for the next phones. Apple makes about 5-6 new CPUs within the lifespan of a console generation... It's not like they're not spending money on the platform.

I lost so much respect for Epic and Sweeney after this. His idiot tactic is a longshot that, if it goes through, will mean we're likely done with high-end consoles after this generation. Maybe even mid generation as Sony and co can no longer keep doing this for free.
So ridiculously dumb. I agree that Apple's(and others) cut is way too high, but this is just super stupid. Money got to the dude's head. He'll write about this in his memoirs "After a celebratory two year coke binge my brain was pretty much done. My ego was bloated and amplified my delusions, in the end I thought I could set up shop in another shop and have justice on my side. Maybe the lowest point in my profesional life and ultimately a much needed wakeup call."

This shit just makes me angry. Idiocy mixed with greed AND awkward theatrics is just too much.

I believe Epic would argue they would setting up shop beside the App Store, not in it, by being able to operate their own payment processing (and potentially their own servers for update delivery and what not). If we're going to go down in meat-space analogies, I think Epic and Sweeny's argument is that if your iPhone is a street, they can't open an alternative, competing store on the same street as the Apple App Store.

Theatrics aside, I'm still holding on to possible positive of (somehow) smaller developers are able to gain a bigger cut if Epic manages to win its lawsuit. How long I'm holding on to that given how ugly lawsuits get is an open question. If anything, it's kinda fun watching the drama and unearthed dirt unfold from afar.

In 2 they now use it as a traversal mechanic as well as an offensive tool. There are certain objects you can 'bounce' off with the downward strike to scale vertical areas etc. There is definitely a greater emphasis on it.

Really surprised Ben hadn't even hit a boss in Rogue Legacy 2. I've found the boss room in a lot of runs and I still haven't gotten past the third world in Scourgebringer, which seems like a much harder game. I also bounced back to Rogue Legacy 1 and turns out, both games are just about as brutal. I actually feel like I survive in RL2 much better.

@eribuster: Wouldn't in this scenario the street be privately built and maintained by Apple? Because as I understand it, you are paying the 30% premium because you are opening up a store on a very well kept, trendy street because you want to sell to those specific customers using that particular street.

How did you guys miss brighter, less reflective, and bigger bezel less screen as a potential upgrade to the Switch? Seems to me like that would be the biggest deal, if they could manage that. It’s practically impossible to see darker games during the daytime and even the brighter ones aren’t the easiest to see. Then there’s that huge bezel, if they could find a way to eliminate that and fill it with more screen they could have a bigger screen and keep the same form factor.

@benpack if you're really serious about frozen pizza, you can invest in a $60 pizza steel to cook your $10 frozen pizza. Price to value is questionable, but I got one and it made a huge difference.

@csl316: Why no more movies over 2hrs long? There are so many great movies that are over 2hrs long and are better for it. This smells of the same stink as no more games over 8 hours, it's just a subjectively rubbish statement. I love a ton of long movies, YouTube videos (one of my favourites is a 7hr+ essay on Death Stranding. As far as games go, if a game is good I will put 100s of hours into it and love the experience.

Never ceases to amaze that the amount of hyperbole Zack Snyder things bring out in people.

Edit: Not taking any digs at the guys, their jokey hyperbole just reminded me of the response in general.
