Giant Bombcast 656: Throw Up Your Bungers

@steveurkel: It's been a bit of a lean year indeed but I can think of about 10 games that were totally worth my time, and a few that wound up being all time favorites. But that's how different tastes work I suppose.

@zoofame:This is the same group of people that always excused lootboxes and only switched positions on it after Battlefront 2, and even then did it begrudgingly. They never wanted to cast lootboxes as immoral and were against that characterization until the general cultural attitude pulled them more or less kicking and screaming to the right side of history on that.

@rocketraccooncmro: I was surprised at Jeff’s take on it. I played like literally 5 mins of it and deleted it when I found out circle was attack. Honestly didn’t give it fair play and it has to have simmering because everyone on my friends list is playing it.

I wonder if he is talking about 13 Sentinels from maybe last week? Ben and Jan mentioned it having naked teens (boys and girls) in it, but failed to give context that only in the picture of them in their mechs are they naked and nothing is shown. A couple of them are in slightly suggestive poses, but are otherwise not sexualized in any way in the game. All of the others hearing it on the podcast gave faces and went "Ew", appropriately, but Ben and Jan didn't explain, because they thought it was funnier to leave it at that. That game is currently getting a lot of praise for its story and gameplay in other places, and Jan said it may currently be his GOTY.

If that isn't it, I have no idea.
