I want those '01-'07 Adult Swim vibes where even if a project doesn't hit, I'm still happy it exists just because of how strange and unique it is. Go crazy.

Wow, Jeff G's 3090 problem makes me feel a lot better about my DualSense going bad and me having to buy a new one while sending the old one back to get repaired by Sony.

I like what I'm hearing about the future of the site. First of all, Dan coming back almost says it all, but them taking chances and doing a bunch of new content with a bunch of guest who may or may not stick around is pretty cool.

Great to see you guys changing things up, Danny is a big win as always wished he'd join. GB peak for me was when you guys were throwing street parties at Whiskey and the early Gamespot days, tons of developers, tons on insight into the industry. With this and Nextlander things are exciting!!

Really excited about the new direction for this site (network?). My favorite series by far since Lockdown began was Going Rogue, and that seems like exactly the kind of thing that will flourish in the New Bomb.

Neat, sounds like we were pretty close on what the new GB would be like with all these contractors doing shows. Although personally i prepared for a bigger change. The whole idea of a modern venture being based around an oldskool website & having your best content behind a paywall, was something that i imagined would be retooled. Especially since Jeff brought up that GB has the issue where all their content is split across multiple platforms, which gives them a disadvantage on places like Youtube vs the ones that are fully commited to 1 platform.

Dude, it feels very impossible to say, but 15 seconds in, another era of Giantbomb settles right the F* in, and it feels so good. I am overjoyed at the cast right now and, wow what a 20/20 "of course, they're all funny this is going to be fantastic and core alt game personalities the way it always has been, and I love it.

This is the most excited I’ve been about GIant Bomb as a whole in a while. The most exciting thing to me was always a new person coming on, so now that gets to happen even more. I hope with the weird non traditional shows, we get some non traditional voices. Would love to see this as a platform as a place for established people to do weird stuff but also give a platform to people / ideas that haven’t had one yet.

I watched this live, but I just wanted to say how excited I am about the future of this site. The idea of seasonal-based shows sounds very exciting, as does the return on some old faces. Between this, Nextlander and the Fire Escape Cast, I am a very happy man.

Great news, for sure! Not a big surprise in the direction they're going, but hearing Danny's going to be taking a larger role on the site caught me off guard; couldn't be happier that he's sticking around.

Also really glad to hear they're holding off on just filling up the holes left by the recent departures really quickly; there wasn't any way that they could have just gotten back to "normal" after Brad, Vinny and Alex moved on. Only thing to do is to move forward onto whatever is next, and they definitely seem confident about some of the stuff they have coming down the pipe.

Looking forward to what's coming!

hey, um, i hate that i have to ask this, but....

does the gun top or bottom?

Half way threw the opening part of this podcast I was half expecting Jeff to say "And were re-launching the site on E3 week again because we never learn our lesson" before laughing manically.

I ran into the exact same problem with my 3080 - no display when it was first installed. There's apparently some temperamental issues with the PCIE slots when your motherboard is set on "auto" mode, which is supposed to detect any kind of gfx card generation - but tends to fizzle out with the new ones.

This could be why an older card works fine, but the 30 series has no display. My solution was to:

1. take out the 3080 and install my 2080 back in.

2. boot and jump into BIOS and set the PCIE configuration mode from "auto" to "Gen 3"

3. shut down, reinstall 3080 card, then you can set the PCIE mode back to Gen 4, at which point it booted for me.

This fella covers it here too, where in his case it's been caused by plugging a older generation PCIE riser cable into the motherboard which triggered the issue: https://youtu.be/9xFaCVOFST0?t=220

I know Mike Mika is busy and all, but I would love it if you could squeeze him into some content sometime. Maybe Jeff and Mike playing the most obscure old shit they can come up with or something like that. Maybe an arcade road trip or something once the world returns to normal. Maybe to California Extreme?

Anyways, the path for the site sounds awesome to me.

It sounds like the new approach could allow the Nextlander guys to participate in GB, but no one mentioned them at all, I wonder what sort of corporate goings-on might be involved? The Nextlander setup seems pretty loose, but the GB side may have those rules about cross-promotion or whatever that listeners never understand.
