Bayonetta 2 and X(sequel to Xenoblade Chronicles) are coming to WiiU in 2014 aren't they? Those are definitely two games to be excited about.

After Indigo Prophecy and it's kung fu Matrix fighting, I was kinda over it.

Heavy Rain was reigned in, but still had some awful acting a a terrible twist like M. Night Shamalan.

Halfway through Beyond, it's Indigo Prophecy TO THE MAXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX.

I'm just kind of done with David Cage. Patrick is right, he needs an editor.

Edit: I forgot to mention all the birthing scenes. Yeah, multiple birthing scenes. What the fuck man.

I have yet to play Saint's Row 4 and will play it as Nolan North with the North voice, but I can definitely get behind a Nic Cage voice in SR5. I just got done playing SR the 3rd as Nic Cage with the Troy Baker voice. It's great because in the DLC several times he mentions how he can't act. It's great.

I will never get tired of David Cage impersonations. Everyone just kills it when they try.

It was really weird to discover that Heavy Rain was actually well grounded compared to Indigo Prophecy, having only watched a play-through of the latter for the first time last month.

I'm sad that Beyond goes more in the direction of Indigo Prophecy, as David Cage is just awful when it comes to mystical/magical stuff. They actually cut out some of the "magic" bits from Heavy Rain; it created a whole bunch of plotholes, but the experience would have been ten times worse if they had left them in.

It's such a shame; because I like so many of these ideas of interactive storytelling. We might not have gotten Telltale's The Walking Dead if not for Heavy Rain leading the charge. Cage really needs to stop letting his stories try to be everything at once.

The best part of Beyond is the interaction with world and the action scenes that portrait this world; other than that, David Cage need to focus on characters and their personalities and less on the Supernatural aspect of his games.

Now I look forward to my shitty commutes home on Friday because it's time to listen to this dumb show.

I loved Enslaved. It was a bland boring game. It's story was wonderful though, handicapped only by the fact that it was trapped within the confines of a video game.

Blight club is pretty good. Still sounds like a movie name after getting it's point across of "This is me playing bad games". Could be followed by a Blight club 2: lycanthropic infection.

Why isn't this on a podcast stream? I'd really enjoy listening to this but I have no desire to sit and watch their big bubble faces for an hour.

I feel like Alex's Beyond review is the most honest review I've ever read. Sorry for the hyperbole.

@razielcuts: I don't think they spoil anything? They mention a few scenes that happen, but nothing that will spoil the game for you.

As someone who has lived in Chicago for most of his life, the Bears are (and will be for a long time) a solid B-tier team.

@patrickklepek I feel you absolutey nail it in your comment about the strengths of David Cage's stuff being the least fantastical elements. The strongest segment in Beyond (which i don't think you have even played) is the "homeless" segment. Unfortunately I felt the game was largely front-loaded with best, most human writing. The fantastical shit, and the straight up action-movie shit that Alex openly questions, ends up detracting from the story overall and occupies the back half. I was completely on board after 3-4 hours. Sort of meh but 7-8, and just kind of wanted it to end after hour 9 (i think it took me 10-11 total).

Anyway, great show. love you guys!
