It's actually impossible to beat the game on Nightmare, because there's a level that you can't clear until you defeat all the enemies, and since they respawn in Nightmare you're kind of screwed forever.

Doom was never played with a mouse (at least, the mouse support it had was terrible - it was used for movement rather than aiming, it kinda worked for looking left and right, but moving the mouse up and down made you walk forwards and backwards, which was not exactly comfortable), it was played with the arrow keys on the keyboard.

There a lot of sound effects in this that sound like Diablo sound effects. Similar settings and all that, or something more insidious? (Daemonic?!)

Why is there such an outrage about it being played on a 360 over the PC? The PC didn't exactly have the best control method.

I missed chunks of this on Friday so it's good this is up now.

Probably a common royalty free stock sound library.

Yeah, they both have so many enemy types it would make sense they'd use a lot of stock sounds.

I really wish he played some Nightmare, constantly spawning enemies and all.

Man I wish Id would just make a real Doom sequel at long last in the vein of Painkiller and Serious Sam but with the same massive budget they would reserve for garbage like Rage.
