Candy from Norway!? Hah!

Gullbrød = Golden Bread = Marzipan with chocolate cover.

Troika = It consists of three distinct layers, prompting its name "Troika". The top layer is soft raspberry jelly, the middle layer is truffle, and the bottom one is marzipan

Sursild = Would be something like "sour herring". It's a fruity sour experience and jelly in consistency.

Saltsild = Salty herring. It's salty liquorice and semi-hard jelly in consistency.

Kvikk Lunsj = Quick Lunch, so to speak. Very similar to Kit Kat, and is a very popular chocolate in Norway, especially during Easter when people walk around in the mountains (along with Oranges and the mineral water "Solo").

I love the reaction Patrick had to the salt candy when he's halfway through.

Man I love nearly all that candy. Worst part about going to the US for me has always been how toothless and boring the candy is.

yeah here in scandinavia we punish our kids with candy... makes the long dark winters go by quicker for the adults. you know schaudenfraude and all that.

It's pretty awesome seeing the guys eat Norwegian candy.

The box that's labeled "Leverpostei" with the smiling kid on it is liverpate.

Fortunatly it's got no pieces of kidliver in it.

I believe it's mostly a history thing in the US, due to the japanese detention camps during WWII, lot's of bad memories.

The same also applies to using "Jew" in Germany in a joking way, like it happens in the US. Doing that in Germany will get you into big trouble. Different countries and cultures have different things in their past that tick them off.

They totally sell those lollipops with the scorpions in them in the 7 Eleven right by my place. I've never had one. I don't understand why anyone would have one.

Man, finding this video of the mailbag I sent years and years ago is so bittersweet. I sure do miss that time of my life, and I miss the Giantbomb squad of 2012, but time goes on and everyone has to change.

Randomly checking the "This Day in Giant Bomb History", and it's one of the best Norwegian mailbags! Wish I had sent something back then.
