I'm going to go on record and say it for the third time: Paul is/ was a good looking man.

I never would have taken Paul Ryckert to be a fan of lieutenant Dan cosplayers.

As someone who has pursued an artistic lifestyle in the past, and is now working in a more corporate situation - there are lots of reasons to give that artistic lifestyle up even if it does pay the bills. It turns out that (at least for now), I'm actually a lot happier doing work that's not typically the stuff of peoples' passions.

So you shouldn't necessarily knock the business world before you try it. Maybe Dan's friend who used to do music finds it soul-crushing, but that doesn't mean it is inherently so. You may be surprised at what makes you happy.

I'll give this one last shot. Hopefully this ones funny and not aimed at "depressed" teenagers.

Yep. My office desk job gives me the funds to survive and live comfortably so I can spend my free time on passion projects, instead of worrying about making money from those projects.

Is this not coming through on the RSS for anybody using podcast apps? I can see it in the RSS when I view the feed directly, but it's not coming through to the app (Pocket Casts in my case).

Completely agree that you never really know someone until you've lived together. Tons of things come up from standards of cleanliness to what your waking up routine is that can drive best friends and significant others insane. Relationships fail over this stuff all the time, and it's crazy to me that people still get married before going through it.

@emuprime: I can't imagine marrying and not having lived with that person for an extended period. Too many marriages close to me have fallen apart because those two people just aren't compatible in every day life. I told my current girlfriend about this rule of mine, that I have to live with someone for over a year before marriage can even become a conversation that takes place.

For sure. I know of so many relationships that have fallen apart within 6 months of the couple moving in together. Being able to actually live with each other all the time is such a different thing from just being in a relationship and living apart.
