I loved the conversation between Jonathan Blow and the XBox Live guys. On the one hand you have the realities of running a service with 40 million uses and on the other an independent genius trying to create cool things in the constraints of all that. Didn't expect to hear all that. Really cool show.

Really? I tried that once but I just can't concentrate on listening to what they're saying. Also, I need some good pulsing music to run and keep pace.

Mr. Caffeine was easily the worst part of E3. And I fucking hate Kinect, so that's saying something.

I want to say around half way through. Once they start the actual bombcast, it goes on for a damn long time, so there is still plenty of E3 talk.

Don't worry, you were the only one bothered by their corporate shilling and everyone except for Blow and Whitta tiptoeing around MS. There were some interesting things about the back end of the 360 that was cool to listen to at least, so the first half wasn't a total loss.

I listen to it while couching. And with couching I mean sitting on the couch.

Despite the endless complaints and rampant vitriol from the chat last night, I was quite interested to see e and Stepto get hit with more complicated questions than what they usually face on Major Nelson's podcast. The answers they ended up giving, while not always what I was hoping to hear (especially regarding ads and the main gist of Blow's certification complaints), certainly helped stir up an 'inside baseball' discussion that I found entertaining.

They're pretty cool gentlemen, and I think numerous users were too quick to cast them off as corporate shills, which is unfortunate.

I love that Gary recycled his Homer car joke from the Tested podcast to much success.

No Leigh Alexander this year?

I wouldn't call that shilling. Those guys are down in the trenches working on Live everyday. They're as proud of their work as any game developer is and are going to give their perspective of what they're trying to do.

3 hours? Hoooooly shit. I'm interested in hearing what everyone has to say, but considering there is going to be another podcast daily for the next three days, it's a bit much to listen to. Hopefully the rest are shorter.

I'm afraid to listen for blood pressure-related issues. Is there really that much corporate shilling going on here that everyone just let slide? I don't need to hear constant Microsoft whoring from them and if I wanted to hear that I'd go back and re-watch the Microsoft press conference. I also don't need to get my blood pressure up (again) because the bombcast guys were (apparently) completely neglecting in their duties at actually having a straight and honest discussion about E3. 
 
Someone please let me know if there's a relaxing and enjoyable straight-talk conversation about E3 here, and not something that's going to give me a stroke when I hit age 30.

Grumble grumble MS employess grumble grumble.

Couldn't stay awake for the second part! It was nearly 3 AM here when they got the regular crew back, gonna pick up at that spot probably.

51 minutes in and I'm loving it so far (watching it on Justin.tv). My favorite Bombcasts are always the ones from GDC or E3 where you get a bunch of people from different parts of the industry and just talk. Also glad to see the Xbox Live guys on here, as they always seem like really cool guys who know their shit when it comes to games. I really enjoyed their PAX panel and it's good to hear more from them.

I've never listened to Jonathan Blow talk before, but he's fascinating to listen to. I hope to see more Bombcasts like this soon!

I wasn't patient enough to wait for this audio version to go up so I already got my E3 Bombcast shot with the archived livestream.

Also, in regards to the actual podcast, the first half wasn't much fun. The background is interesting to a degree but they just talked about the same stuff over and over. The Microsoft were OK but they kept bringing the conversation back around to Microsoft. Shit gets real when Jeff et all enter the room.

3 hours and 21 minutes of pure beauty.

Xbox guy Stepto complaining about ads inside the PSN Store when their entire 360 dashboard is infested with ads might be the most ridiculous thing you'll hear this whole week of E3.

This was great Bombcast entertainment, and it was nice hearing E and Stepto talk with the Bombers.

Now I can catch the last 20 minutes.

The reason why I feel that my space is getting "horned-in" on is because we're not getting new hardcore franchises. We're not getting a new franchise, it's just CoD, Halo, Gears. I'm a little bit sick of it, but not to the point where I want to see them go away. I want the new to coexist with the old.
