E3 2014: Day 00 Press Conferences Highlights

I think they have been criticizing the COD franchise for much much longer than Uncharted.

I understand Jeff's need for the white PS4, however he did optionally buy the black Wii U on launch?! Any self loathing console lunatic like myself would surely sacrifice the 24gigs for the slicker looking case.

I loved this, but I felt just how underwhelmed all of you are, and it kind of feels like a nice counter to just how upbeat the pressers were. That being said, sony did only like 30 minutes of non gaming in their hour and forty, which is still great, lots of great games, and honestly I was interested with the playstation tv stuff as it's what I would recommend to family and non gaming friends, that are super casual gamers, or haven't touched a console since ps2 or psone; especially if they are considering a kindle fire tv or apple tv type device, now I know to steer them towards playstation's TV which is really nice. I liked knowing that playstation now will be coming soon as I am really excited for that service. Lastly adding their own television content that will be a strong counter to microsoft's tv stuff, while frivolous, the original content they're creating is stuff I'd like to see. I love the powers comic series, and most of all of what bendis writes. I love halo and microsoft's announcement that the master chief collection grants you all 4 games, all of their multiplayer, all of their maps, and individual physics, beta halo 5 access and the entire access to halo nightfall which is produced by ridley scott of aliens, and blade runner fame, and directed by Sergio Mimica-Gezzan of heroes and battlestar galactica fame, so I'm actually rather excited as these more original series are coming out, they're in genres and styles I prefer, and it's a huge sidestep from the fcc saying it's exclusive content so the fcc doesn't have much bearing of control like in over the air tv.

Great videos. The sad thing, for me, about Microsoft's conference was I only saw games I know I want to get on PS4 and absolutely nothing to make me want an Xbone. The only things that could have been cool ended up being CG cutscenes and those do ZERO to make me feel one way or another. Sony conference was about the same but I saw stuff that makes me excited to own a PS4, so that's what I want.

Nintendo was cool but I saw little to change my mind of still being disappointed to own a WiiU. NFC does nothing for me.

Note to self...do NOT fuck with Alex when it comes to Vib-Ribbon!

I think it's quite amusing how Alex is so upset about Vib Ribbon. What more could anyone really want out of what the original already provides? They really should have announced a Parappa game though.

You see, it isn't the lack of Vib Ribbon itself. It is the tease. The bait and, not even switch, just the bait and nothing. And they teased twice. This is the game of keepaway on the schoolyard. The blue balls at the highschool prom. The beautiful and shockingly inexpensive apartment that gets rented by someone else first. It is cruelty, pure and simple. D:

I'd tuned out of that conference way before that dude started talking about Vib Ribbon so it really didn't bother me. I guess it kinda sucks that the US never got that game though. (unless it's digital on the ps3?) Despite last years upset you'd be silly to expect the unexpected from either MS or Sony. Especially Sony... This year they were extraordinarily safe with the games they showed.
