Endurance Run: Chrono Trigger - Part 02

I'm sorry, but I just don't see the potential in this ER.

With Persona 4 and Deadly Premonition, there were countless, unexpected moments that were crazy, epic, and sometimes fucking hilarious. I just don't see moments like that happening in an SNES game.

Also, because this is a well known game, that both Ryan and Patrick have played... it just... takes away the excitement of not knowing what you guys are getting yourselves into, which is what made the other ERs amazing. (Besides Vinny)

I'll stilll give this a chance, though.

This is the only ER that spans more than 400 years.

Man, the big problem with an ER of a good game is that it just makes me wanna go play the game instead :P

Vinny and Jeff should do a competing ER of Yakuza. I'd watch that all day.

But you're right. Still not something I see as being a big deal though, as far as ER quality goes.

I don't think so either, but I do get his point. He's played a few hours which means he knows what he's getting into. However Vinny had played some of Persona 4 at home and that didn't ruin anything about the P4 ER.

@Swoxx: whats the point when voting with clicks is probably better considering the higher ups will look at page/video views before comments.... and there's already about 9 million threads on the forum for him to go into and complain...

He said he was going to give it a chance, which I presume means watch it, so clicking is besides the point. Also a comment section for the video is for this exact purpose, vocalizing your opinions. The "If you don't like it GTFO and STFU" attitude is bullshit if you ask me, and way more annoying than someone pointing out their disappointment with a video feature.

Anyone else having a hard time feeling excited for this? I think @cyrisaurus kinda nailed it. It lacks the punches of a modern, quirky, kind of niche game and it very much lacks a person who can dive into the mind of the characters like Vinny can. But as already stated that is also hard with a SNES game.

This ER kinda reminds me of all the great moments of the previous 2 and I have a hard time seeing this reaching those highs. But of course I'll keep watching just like everyone else will and we all "vote with our views" here wich means we should just shut up and enjoy it for what it is!

Hm....this was pretty boring. I'll give it the rest of this week to pick up, or I might just bow out of this one.
