Wait, Dalton said the life of Schala meant nothing to him... but wasn't he sent specifically to get her because the machine doesn't work without her? Wouldn't the queen smoke his ass if he killed the key to the machine or even just returned without her?

@VooDooPC: I think after what happened with the Persona ER, they've learned their lesson.

Best thing to do when going into a long boss fight is to to take the accessory that reduces MP usage away from your healer.

This episode reminds me of the work I'm doing. Science is not what the masses think it is and it is also not superior to other methods of investigation. The way they start off by theorizing a process to defeat Giga Gaia and then apply their theory and having it falsified is science; their being scientific. Science isn't Bunsen burners and omega-3 etc. The faith in science is not what science really is and science has nothing to do with technological development.

Anyway... Batrick! For FUCK'S sake, stop imitating the music with your voice! It's incredibly ANNOYING! Why do you do that?! The last thing this ER needs is you ruining some of the best VG music ever! Seriously...

Should have used black and red vests which heal you for 50% of the damage dealt makes the fight a joke.

yeah, that and it's their video so they can do whatever they damn well like.

I think alot of people in the comments for these videos seem to be forgetting that the cool thing about these endurance run videos and quick looks is it's a couple of guys playing a video game having fun, so they are only kidding around, presumably if the people in these comments have played chrono trigger before watching this video, or else this is NOT the way to see it for the first time. Thus i wouldent really say it's ruining the music, because you have heard it already , it cannot be taken from your memory, It would be different if they released a bad cover of the battle theme.

For people who have played CT though, this is like a hilarious look at the game where neither of these guys remember any of the basics of playing an old jrpg/take anything seriously.

Man, this is probably the most they've lucked out in a boss fight to date. The last set of turns the boss decided to heal his head instead of double attacking which would have taken down both Brono and Brog. Glad it went down like that though. Now the twins boss coming up soon is gonna be messed up. They'll probably have cure wave by then, but it's not gonna be enough to beat them without some form of strategy.

Flawless minmaxing in an Endurance Run? NEVER.

(I'm not sure why people want them to remove all challenge from the game in the first place, really. Leave that for your own obsessive full-completion 5th playthrough)

Hopefully it's just because they had to film a whole bunch of them to cover multiple weeks over the holiday period but hopefully they start stopping at points which make more sense. I'm not entirely sure what it is and it's only been a problem the last couple of weeks just seems like they're stopping for the sake of stopping and not because it's a good stopping point. It's a minor thing and hopefully once this period is out of the way they'll go back to more sensible stopping points.

Today for example them travelling up to the queens palace and stopping felt a bit bleh to me, getting half way through a plot advancement when a good stopping point would have been after the boss fight aftermath before they headed off. Or after whatever happened next and they're sent on their next quest. Maybe it's just me though :P

Other than that this is still continuing to be awesome and looking forward to the episode every day :P

Yeah. Speed Belt to Bobo, Gold Earring to Brog, Gold Stud to Crono would have been much better.

Bobo doesn't need MP reduction because Heal Beam is low cost and he already has the highest HP (and takes about the same amount of damage as the others). He's also really slow and they needed constant healing for their strategy.

Brog doesn't need MP reduction because Leap Slash / Heal are low cost, but he has the lowest HP.

Brono doesn't need more speed because he's almost always doing Dual Techs, which means waiting for the other guy's turn, and Ryan can't input fast enough to make use of it anyway. Spire costs Crono 8 MP, so he could use the MP reduction.

3 characters with 1 weakness each and 3 accessories that shore up those weaknesses. Then they're given to the wrong people. =)

Buuuut it doesn't matter 'cuz Giga Gaia got gg'd.

Yeah, pretty much. I guess the Brono team isn't great at thinking under pressure.

Man, they're getting awfully close, I hope they do some of the side quests. Anyway, for what they had and brought into that boss fight, they did a pretty decent job.

This series is getting worse than dragonball. One attack at a time and then the episode is over, you have to wait till next episode for the action to move forward just a tiny little bit. Come on, play it for at least 1 hour at a time guys.

A triumphant ER victory to kick off the year - I'm into it even though some closer inspection of the available items could've really made this easier. Then again, I'm just watching and not playing and it might just have gotten more boring. Well done!

So close to the Golem Twins now. That's where the real Dark Souls Brono Trigger begins.

@MythDarK: You can't fly around with the 2poch. Not in the state they have it in now, it doesn't get the ability to fly (and as a result opens a lot of the side quests) till later into the game.

EDIT: To be clear, I didn't mean you can't fly with it ever. Because the ship you get still has the 2poch in it and is called the 2poch, but its not the 2poch as they have now.

Edit: Did that seriously take then 15 minutes to do?

If I remember correctly, they're about two thirds into the game by now. Making progess, maybe just 15-20 episodes left.

As much as everyone's complaining, they DID just succeed on their second try.  Maybe not ideal, and maybe they won't beat Lavos, but still.  They're not doing awful.
 
Anyway, after this is through, I believe it's time for a run through of Chrono Cross for me.  It's been far too long.
