Endurance Run: Persona 4 - Part 120

Man this is the first time I've ever complained but Im upset, nay, pissed off that you guys didn't form the nidhogger with the bottom two personas like you were looking at at the end of the last episode. That would of been practical and nidhogger looked badass but instead you just did a lot of throwaway personas since you didn't remember from the previous episode :(. Get that nidhogger! I'm interested!

Guys, guys. Heal with Yukiko out of battle. Don't burn poor Charlie's SP with your healery!

When you can you HAVE to fuse Trumpeter, it's one of the best personas to have!

also there's a spell (Spell Master) that personas can get that halves the cost of all spells, skadi can get it at level 60 and i think you guys dont give the physical attacks enough credit, they dont cost much when you consider how cheap it is to heal (6 sp to heal chie fully after a heatwave, as opposed to 10 sp for mabufu, which does less damage and can't crit)

I've never even played Persona 4, and really haven't touched jRPG's in a long time and even I can tell there were some very disappointing mistakes this episode:

• Tam Lin is CLEARLY (look at the stats, and Power Charge) a physical damage dealer, yet you replaced the one physical spell he has left and still left in Power Charge. Tam Lin is nigh-useless now except as a weakness-hitter when I bet that Deathbound and Power Charge could have made him a bane of existence.
  
• Still insisting on using Chie as a caster when her ice spells are doing no more damage than a standard weapon attack.
• For the short time Naoto was in, they never tried any of her abilities other than insta-kill spells, and shortly after was deemed worthless because they obviously were burning SP with unsatisfactory results. She has like 5 other abilities, at least try them.
  
• Deeming Black Frost as underleveled and thus worthless when he still has the highest magic stat of any other persona (even Yukiko's? I forget) despite his level, and apparently from my count he was gaining a level every 2-or-so fights (Does the S.Link bonus effect gaining levels through combat as well as Fusions?).
  
• Using Charlie as a Wind caster when his Persona's Heavy Wind was doing less damage than Yosuke's Medium Wind.
• Burning through SP by casting spells depite wanting only to burn time until a weakness-hitter's turn came around, then going to bitch to fox.
• I'm going to bet this is The Very Definitely Final Dungeon, and they obviously have a good amount of time until the fog-and-death event, so why are Rise's and Naoto's S.Link's left completely in the dust (there's GOT to be some huge bonus to Rise's max S.Link, at a guess, I bet it'll be something like auto-weakness-reveal) to bum-rush the dungeon. This is after they mention that the gameplay is somehow getting in the way of the story.
  
• Still using Skull Cracker. In fact, still having it at all. Why?

i think person makes a better story then a game. That could just be that i don't enjoy turn-based RPG's.  That said I get more and more wrapped up in the story every episode.  And really hope they continue the endurance run with a new game when this one is complete.

Well they did mention something about a live Endurance Run a few days ago.

I'm with Thomper; if they had actually started uploading something there would be a page at the very least. :/

Because if they're doing it live they would not have even recorded it yet.

They asked specifically "Do you guys want a live Endurance Run on Monday?" Followed by "It would be on the site later than usual"

Agreed.  I'm currently using Trumpeter for my New Game+ and steamrolling through bosses with Mind Charge + ZIodyne. :D "

a live endurance run would be awful.

I definitely agree with you. I'm a bit naturally indecisive, so playing this game would be like hell for me, where everything is a decision. However, in this format, it is very enjoyable to watch someone else play, having them make the decisions. It's cool because Vinny and Jeff give you a sense of the thought process that people go through when playing. Also, I love that they frequently go for the craziest/funniest option, something I probably would never do when I am playing, which makes it more entertaining.

I think the best part about Trumpeter is debilitate.  Lowers an enemy's attack, defense, hit rate, and evasion rate in one spell.   Also, about spell master, when you max out Rise's Social Link, you get the ability to make Ishtar.  Ishtar starts out with Diarahan and can learn Spell Master, making Ishtar the best healing persona in the game. "

I'm lost without my Persona in the morning.

I don't know if a live stream of Persona 4 would work too well. The resolution of the streaming video isn't too great, and we probably couldn't read the text. Then again, if they're just dungeon crawling, it might be okay...

The live stream isn't great. I love the endurance run but i hope they just go back to daily videos.

That stream / justin.tv thing is being flooded by spoilers (fake or non fake, I don't know), but beware before you go in there.
