" I'd suggest the following.....
 

• Swap Chie out for Teddie. He has the better ice and healing spells. Chie is pretty much useless at this point.
  
• Go grind some dungeons until you reach level 67. This will level Teddie up a fair bit and allow you guys to reach the required level for the Hexagon fusion as well.
  
• Fuse the Trumpeter persona since you have all six required persona's needed to fuse it now. All you need is to reach level 67 which will benefit you in the boss fight anyway.
  
• May want to start fusing personas closer to your level. Black Frost is brilliant but around 10 levels lower than you, consider fusing him into something closer to your level and make sure Mind Charge is inherited during the fusion.

In fairness guys, I lost to this boss the first time too.

You don't need Divine Grace if you have Diarahan, since it fully heals anyway. Just saying.
I don't think you need to level that much, if at all, to be able to kill the boss. It seemed to be more of a misstategerizin' that you died.

Won't repeat whats already been said, but you learnt quickly on what was coming next, follow some of the suggestions and he'll be easy next time.

Get Mediarahan for Yukiko, should make it a lot easier.

This was the point where I was really glad Yosuke had Masukukaja on my playthrough ;)

One of your Personas has Mediarahan (party heal all).

Damn, I guess you probably shoulden't have skipped all those floors. Looks like there is some grinding to do, at least until Yukkio gets Mediarahan.

They shouldn't have got rid of masukukaja. Look at how they are missing the boss.

Mediarama costs 12. Mediarahan costs 30. Mediarama heals less then 1/2 of their current HP and takes 2 turns. So that's 2 turns of 12 to almost fully heal Vs 1 turn of 30 to fully heal. Kikuri-Hime is worthless because her stats are too low. Divine Grace is a 50% boost if I remember correctly, so they still need to use 2 turns, but will probably get killed because of the low Endurance.  There's no excuse to not using Mediarahan in battle at this point in the game. If you want to discuss the efectivemenss of heals then wait till they have the option of having Salvation (heal all + all status for 40SP) "

Can some people not notice when they've cross the line from lending helpful advice, to simply being an annoying douchebag prick?  If watching these videos makes you constantly cringe, stresses you out, or you demand 100% efficiency out of the guys, then it would probably be a good idea to just stop watching them. 
 
After all the constant complaining about how horribly they play, they still manage to beat boss after boss.  They put up a good fight here.  The boss didn't wipe the floor with them.  What's  the point of playing if there is no threat of death?  (Of course there are plenty of people lending helpful advice, this message isn't aimed at those people)

When the boss uses "quad converge", Vinny should use an item that puts reflect on every party member. That way, the boss will cast ma-something and it'll be reflected 4 times on him.

Is Chie's armor on Naoto again?

For this boss, I like getting personae that can repel or drain or null: agi, garu, bufu, zio, and physical attacks. Black Frost is good because he can absorb 2 elements.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAWWWWWWWWW!! monday?!

They need to NOT dismiss good spells anymore, like that one persona that had Mediahram that heals the entire party all the way. They were looking for their good spell healer and they skipped their best one.
 
Also, in 5 levels, Yukiko will get Mediahram (dont give up Mediaramma though) They need to level up to that point before they have a reasonable chance of beating the boss.

  Well, Mediarahan it is then. :)  Question though! You said Kikuri-Hime is worthless because of her low stats. In my Persona 3 game I noticed that my Cybele had an awesome enough Mediarama to heal my party fully, but another persona who was several levels higher only healed for about 100hp. Which stat determines that? "

Ouch... I knew when Vinny said he was going to use an item then Mediarama that it would be Game Over, Charlie getting hit with Garu left him with only a few hit points when he was fully healed, so it should of been obvious enough. Ah well.

Once again, obligatory "Just rough it out with Chie you guys. Once she has Power Charge + God Hand, game breaker". 
 
But yeah, I only skimmed through the first three pages of comments, but I agree thus far. Two or three levels more would do you well. I'm embarrassed to admit, but I was like 67 - 70 when I fought this boss, and that was a cake walk.  

Knew it was gonna happen when time started running down, and they were so close.
 
Ah well, they'll definitely get it next time.

Great episode today.  Good job and you almost did it.  Now you know that you can do it come Monday.

Notice how they were missing like ass?  Anyone still want to defend their removal of masukukaja?

Go get a persona with makarakarn and just have charlie cast that on someone the whole fight. Also the item Magic Mirror has the same effect.
 
Or you could play it safe and get Tarunda (attack down 1 enemy) on a persona with decent endurance.

This is why you guys need buffs!  That Sukunda (hit/evasion) was helping for the short time you had it up, and an attack down/defense up would have helped tremendously.
 
You should have items in your inventory that cast party buffs for you.  I don't know what they're called because they have stupid names.

Hey guys... choose your words carefully.

Stop ignoring that heal-all party spell. That could of easily saved you this battle.

Makarakarn doesn't really sound so useless now, does it?  ;p

A word of warning Vinny and Jeff: if the choice is between "wasting" Charlie's turn guarding, and thus living, or spending it attacking, thus dying, waste the turn!  Also, keep the boss masukundaed. 

I lol'ed at the "Choose your words carefully" part.

This boss is tricky, but he really just needs some good strategy. When it gets to Zero G, have everyone guard except for the person in your party that repels/drains/nulls that element, and have them -dyne them to hell.

Bummer about the death, but that opening sequence to the boss fight was the best yet. Nothing quite like stone cold crazy to add some dramatic tension.
