Quick note!! Billy Connolly (legendary Scottish comedian not affiliated with the Monty Python crew at all) is alive and still kicking it. His wife posted a video to twitter of him saying sorry for scaring everyone, I should have worded it better and the paper that printed the quote changed the context of it, I was just saying I'm old now and closer to the end than the beginning, but I'm not close to death. He does have Parkinson's disease and beat prostate cancer recently I think so obviously not really working much anymore.

Yeah I mean, I hate (and also am still amused by) the fact that this is still a point of discussion, but the US is one of the few countries that hold fast to calendars that begin with Sunday, and Abby is 100% right that it's rooted in religion. I just find it funny that Dan's argument is "LOOK AT A CALENDAR! YOU READ FROM LEFT TO RIGHT!" when it's very easy to find one that starts with Monday.

Lienz Cossacks were ethnic Russian and Ukranian folks that left Russia during and after the Russian Civil War (1919-23) due to fighting against the Communist forces. Most of them went to other areas of Eastern/Central Europe.

During WW2 they fought alongside the Germans, hoping to tear down the Soviet Union. However, since they were on the losing side the survivors ended up as prisoners. Most of their fighters ended up in territory controlled by the British and the British started repatriation (transferring) back to the Soviets.

The "Lienz" part of it was from a notorious incident in the Austrian town of Lienz where the British tricked some prisoners held near Lienz that they were going to a conference when in fact they were going to be put on trucks and handed over to the Soviets. Suffice to say it was...bad.

TL;DR Version: Sean Bean's family picked the wrong side during the war, got tricked by the British, and ended up dying in Soviet gulags.

Man, I feel like in almost every video you guys (mainly Dan?) end up asking if a famous celebrity is still alive. It's... kind of strange and pretty unnecessary, especially when it ends on a depressing note. I wouldn't mind if you guys stopped having those kinds of celebrity discussions, but maybe that's just me.

The problem for British people and Robbie Coltrane is, a cracker-era version of him is currently masquerading as a sitting politician in Northern Ireland called Arlene Foster, he didn't even try, he just put a bad wig on.

Also, in regards to C&C Renegade... That game was absolutely stunning when it came out multiplayer, although I seem to remember the servers didn't last long - I remember they added flying vehicles eventually. Either way it was great multiplayer, I miss it.

When I was a kid I couldn't figure out for the life of me why I always failed Statue at the end one night. Went to school the next day and told my best friend about it, and he asked me if I tried putting my gun away before approaching them. "That's pretty ridiculous dude, but I'l try it I guess."

Smash cut to me calling him excitedly 20 minutes after I got home from school that day all excited because he nailed it without even knowing it.

@tefari: my biggest memory was my brother trying to speedrun the level for the cheat, but the black box kept spawning in a shitty spot which meant he had to backtrack far enough that it wasn't really possible to make it through in time to get the cheat.

He also unlocked invincibility on Facility, which meant running it 20 times in a row perfectly waiting for Doak to spawn in the right place. Lol

It was a cool idea for unlocks, but man those rng bits sucked.

I'm still getting tripped up when hearing the enemies grunts when getting hurt. Most of them are the exact same sounds they used in Outcast. I never played Goldeneye, so for me those are Outcast's sounds, even though I know Outcast came out later.

Also, Monday is the first day of the week. The weekend (Saturday and Sunday) is the end of the week.

Man, as time goes on I'm more and more convinced that Dan's Abraham Lincoln beard does NOT suit him (especially compared to earlier videos on GB Infinite of him with just a nice groomed stubble look, he looks way younger that way).

I think it's incredibly common - whenever watching movies at some point someone I am with checks IMBD to see stuff what other movies actors were in, if they are still working, or alive.

Regarding Rowan Atkinson's voice: I think people in Britain and Ireland (at least those 30+) probably have a different view due to the fact he starred in an 80s British comedy called Blackadder. In fact, for me, Edmund Blackadder is his most iconic role - more so than Mr Bean! It's a fantastic show - with a great supporting cast. Definitely in my top 10 - well, seasons II, III and IV anyway. The ending to IV is... wow... something special. Only thing is that, like most 'classic' comedy shows, it has some outdated tropes - such as some transphobia in the form of men in drag being used for a laugh ('outdated' cause, you know, that trope doesn't exist today... *cough*) - but, if I've recalled correctly, it does at least try to intertwine it with some historical reality. As long as you're prepared to deal with that going in, I'd say give it a go past the lesser first season - especially if you're a history buff!

Dan, saying "Just look at a calendar" seems very close minded actually. Have you heard of the rest of the world, aka outside of the USA? In most parts of the world Monday is the first day of the week.

There have been a few references to the animation in this show. I would like to point out that the animation was all mocap! It is actually all mocap.

I don't know how Dan is going to finish this in the next episode since it's obviously not going any further beyond that.

When will it end?! Dan's lack of basic knowledge continues to surprise... even 5 years later.
