This was a better movie than Ghost Rider (1&2) that being said I havent seen it in awhile, looking forward to seeing it again with the Beast Crew, sad to see the end of the Cage F&40's though.

Everybody made a mistake by not noting Ghost Rider. Most of the crew even said they wanted that one as well.

Yo, guys, the Ghost Rider movies are just bad. They're not fun bad. The second one is really boring for the most part and wastes Idris Elba. Not that I love Drive Angry either, but it should be more entertaining than what GR2 would have been. GR2 had a lot of potential given Cage and the directors involved, but it was dull outside of like 2 good Cage freakouts.

So apparently this film is known as 'Hell Driver' in the UK market, it's on Netlflix if anyone is looking.

@darkswordsman: Finally someone who agrees with me.

And I'm not saying that Gone in 60 Seconds is a great movie. But it sure is entertaining enough, and just an enjoyable, popcorn-action hell of a ride, with cool cars. =D

@awkwardl0ser: they talked about this last time, for the amount of movies he’s made, he’s only done... 2(?) sequels. Which is really surprising.

On Avengers Infinity War's opening week here in Mainland China, it seems oddly fitting to watch the Marvel comic movie more or less overshadowed by that first Avengers movie...Oh, wait, Drive Angry? Instead of Ghost Rider Spirit Vengeance? Never mind.

If anyone is interested, because it can be a bit annoying to find older episodes by scrolling through the premium feed, I made a list on Letterboxd of every film included in the Film & 40s series with links to each episode so that they are all in one place.

I'll say it then: Gone in 60 Seconds is a great movie. It would have made a hell of a Film and Forties. And if the Fast and Furious movies ever decide to pass the torch to a younger cast, they should look to that movie as a template for how to do it.

I'd go as far to say I think it's a good movie, a solid 3/5. And yes, I would have loved to watch it with their commentary. That's why I was disappointed when Alex decided to ask people to not vote for it. It probably wouldn't have won in the end, but it sure made me wonder why he included it in first place.

@solidpython: it definitely came out as drive angry in the UK originally. Weird if they renamed it for no apparent reason.

WELL, having (un)fortunately never seen this before, I am gonna enjoy this regardless of how nitpicky Abby wants to be, here we go!

Wow, Peachez, that's a throwback..

*edit; Abby seemed cooler to just let it roll with some jokes instead of film flaw rolling over every scene, much more fun this way, and for the crew in general, a much nicer balance of watching the movie and talking too. Vinny got all negative at the end, but it's his birthday and he's 40, he's supposed to start this up around that age. Also this movie sucked, but was good stupid fun with the crew.

Agreed, it's not the best movie ever or anything but I thought it was a solid pick for film & 40s. It's way better than Con Air at any rate. Oh well, I haven't seen Drive Angry before so hopefully its fun.

I at first saw film and 40s and was like OH there is no way watching these movies even with GB is fun. Now it's like the perfect little thing on fridays to relax with. I'm so sad I didn't get into it sooner but was awesome going back and watching all the fast films. Can't be more excited for this one.

Awesome! Thanks Beasts. Thanks for sacrificing your bodies in the name of entertainment. Made my last stop at the local liquor store this morning for my forty. Felt a little sad. Me and my wife loved doing this Cage retrospective with you. (They (40's) are very hard to find by me, luckily I live by a major college campus, and there are ten liquor stores a short drive away).

Not a bad concept, William Fichtner is a riot and there are some absolutely gorgeous cars in here. BUT imagine this movie directed by Sam Raimi or even the guys who did Spirit of Vengeance. It just could have been so much more... I'm with Vinny, definitely the worst one in the Nick Cage series.

And Vampire's Cage will reign the greatest of all.

First time seeing this and wow, this is terrible but also great. I don't think I was prepared by how insanely dumb this was gonna be.

Sad to see this feature end. Hope they don't take too long of a break before doing some more.

I probably haven't seen it in 6 years and man I do not remember the CGI and green screen looking that poor. The tanker goes low freaking res at one point when it gets closer to the camera. Wow.

Still enjoyable, love Amber still, and GB commentary makes everything better.

Pretty terrible, but once again saved by the GBeast gang! I'd say that Dan's definition of "cool" continues to perplex me, but it really shouldn't.

I feel like they should go with Arnold next. I need an excuse to rewatch Last Action Hero, Running Man and True Lies.

Now I have a reason to watch Drive Angry for the first time. I hope it's bad in the best way.

I'm glad things went Drive Angry's direction instead of Ghost Rider, and not just because I haven't seen it before. My vague recollection of both of the Ghost Rider movies is that they were almost oppressively boring more than anything else, which would probably have made for a pretty dull watch for the gang and probably lackluster commentary.

I'm on the "bad but fun" side. Fichtner provides most of the fun. Without him and that character the movie would've been lacking.

That CG is shocking. I do remember it looking bad when I watched it some years ago, but it's even worse now.
