Bombcast Tuesdays are best Tuesdays

I get what's Jeff is saying about crime documentaries but I think making a murderer is far more illuminating than exploitive. And really is kind of a psa about how law enforcement and criminal courts work in a way that is extremely informative and potentially very useful to viewers who may have to engage with the court system at some point. I would highly recommend really anyone watch it, regardless of your thoughts on Steven Avery.

Holy fucking shit Jeff sounds like the most ignorant fool in the world talking about Making a Murderer. And the takeaway of "we need more vigilante justice"... These guys should stick to video games. Good lord.

I think his thoughts on the culture of true crime journalism are understandable, but its certainly a bad look to come out so strong without watching it first.

@nkster: His thoughts are ludicrously short sighted and ignorant. Making a Murderer is an indictment of the U.S. Justice system, not a definitive answer to the innocence of Avery (though close to it for Dassey). True crime journalism can be about deeper issues like this was, and beyond that he made the judgment from apparently just reading some stuff online and not watching a single episode. Terrible.

If the thing you took away from that conversation was that I was seriously talking about vigilante justice as an option then maybe you should try paying attention to the show instead of just having it on in the background or something.

I believe Raphael getting beat up in the movie was actually a call back to the comic where the same happens to Leonardo. In a similar reason, him needing to blow off steam from the rest of the group. I believe it's where the shot of him getting hit by a snowball is taken that was in the Nintendo Power that showcased the NES Arcade Game

I would love a premium series where Dan and random GB staffer go through all the RE games.
