However, why is it I only get to these via the twitter feed and not from the premium podcast page on the site. When i click the premium from the drop down it shows Danswers and has no mention of the bombcast. Strange business.

Early Bombcast is like a gift out of the blue with no special occasion attached.

It's a miracle! WIthout question, in the past whenever I've checked for an early bombast--no early bombcast. Whenever I don't check until the next day--I missed out on commuting home with an early bombcast.

Finally, today I get the early bombcast!!!

This opening ad music is straight up just "Long Train Running" by the Doobie Brothers slowed down. Not that that's a bad thing.

@jeff I ebay ordered an XFL jersey earlier today, before this came out. What is wrong with me?

@plwolf: Its not in the premium podcast section its in its own Giant Bombcast (Premium) section. It also only gets added to there when the main one has ads.

Danny Cast

In Dying Light, I have found guns to be extremely useful and have had a pistol and rifle equipped for most of the game. You can buy ammo from most if not all vendors. Head shots will kill regular zombies with one hit, and when in quarantine areas with volatiles or other strong zombies, I just dump all my ammo into them because I can just replenish ammo at a vendor.

The icon shooting game that Danny was asking about was called Inner Space. I played the shareware version, it was pretty good.

That game that Danny is talking about is "Virus".

Drew has mentioned in the past that he doesn't get a lot of time to play games, since it's not his actual job; he may not have gotten to play games much outside of videos. It's not like he's lying by talking about the games he's playing on videos. More people listen to the Bombcast than visit the site and watch videos.

Listening to Jeff talk about Dying Light makes me wonder why he even plays video games anymore.

The bombcast this week was quite good. Perhaps due to little news, but the extended analysis around Nintendo's business strategy and the whole discussion around console and PC, and the reason why the staff seemed to believe consoles in their current form might eventually disappear was quite interesting. Those topics are often discussed, but rarely to this extent. Much appreciated.

I would like to think consoles have quite a bit of life left in 'em, but they brought up a lot of good points this episode. I think the Playstation, Xbox, and Nintendo names are all still so strong that they could all easily survive at least another generation or two if they just keep doing what they doing and 3rd parties still wanna play ball, but hey, like Danny(or was it Jeff?) said, someone could come along with just as if not more convenient and blow 'em out the water. Who can say? It's going to be an interesting next few years,. That's for sure.

The NFL actually has a big following in Europe. There is a reason they are looking into moving a team to London. The Wembley games always sell out even when the Dolphins and the fucking Jaguars are playing.

I'm with Jeff on Nintendo not using dual screens for it's 5th generation handheld console. Having two screens is nice to display auxiliary information or extra contextual inputs, but that has seen less and less use as 3DS games have come out. Because the touchscreen is the true innovation from the DS, that must be carried forward. This means that the 3D screen will not see a return. While I love the 3D effect of the 3DS, it is a neat visual trick that doesn't compare to the utility of a (hopefully capacitive) touchscreen.

Ya and as soon as you can figure out travel that will make sense. And also I bet a big part of those games selling out is because of how infrequent they are.
