Woah I can get used to these early Bombcasts.

Hot damn. I turned up expecting a new PBcast and got a regular Bombcast thrown in for my troubles!

I remember how crazy it felt when they added an end-boss (with credits!) to Minecraft. Yet even at the time, that didn't really feel like the thing. But then I guess the end-goal for most people in Minecraft is building up a huge base or town.

I wonder whether NMS will have something similar - can you establish a big space-base or some sort of larger craft (that maybe then your smaller landing craft docks into)? Or will it always be going planet to planet, collecting resources just so you can keep going?

EDIT: Brad (or anyone) - if you're after SF V tutorials, I'd definitely recommend checking out UltraChenTV as they're doing their First Attack series from the ground up again with this game. The early episodes of Cross Counter TV's Excellent Adventures have been helpful too, as they've been going character by character and talking through their best options.

Holy shit, I've been looking for the name of Unreal World for the past year because all I could remember from that UPF was the dudes in the forest with their fur coats and axes! It was impossible to look for it with just that memory.

"Competitive tower defense"? I'd rather the world come play Defense Grid 2. That game did not get its deserved attention.

The conker hate is pretty hilarious coming from 3 people two of which apparently have never even played it. It wasn't amazing or anything and I do sort of agree that it gets too much love these days. But it was a pretty good platformer at the time, and despite the old references it did have some solid humor every once and awhile. Also it gets lost now but that game was arguably the best looking game to come out for the 64.

Can't tell if Jeff's enthusiasm about the No Mans Sky death quotes is honest or cynical.
