Like Dan, I wasn't much of a MOBA guy, dabbled in DOTA 2 and League of Legends but then I started Heroes of the Storm... and then started playing it with friends... I'm deep into the rabbit hole now.

I also told myself that I loved that game and that I wouldn't spend a dollar on it. I think I put around $50 on it so far. No shame, it's a great game.

IF you have deep nostalgia for the Disney catalogue then sure but even then it's kind of like, well, cool it's Goofy. I dunno, I loved those movies as a kid, as an adult I don't really feel drawn back to it the way I am to things like Star Wars or Alien or stuff like that.

I've made my decisions in life.

Jeff's problem with MGS3 seems to be with the gameplay, not the story. Also all MGS endings are huge, unwielding exposition dumps, MGS3 is no different. Actually I dislike the story of MGS3 the most, I never got the appeal of The Boss. But hey different opinions! How fun.

Do they talk MGSIV spoilers? If so, I'd be indebted to anyone who can give me a timecode to avoid them; can't finish playing it until next week.

Gotta say thanks to GB for the heads up on that Nvidia refund thing, not that I had a problem with waiting to play Arkham Knight when it gets fixed but I would definitely prefer some crazy MGS over a more than likely tame Batman game.

I think it'd just be a lot better if you watch the entire series but just skip the episodes you aren't getting into. Some are stinkers no doubt about it, and you can usually tell from the first 5-10 mins how it's going to go.

They are based on his personal preference, you may find you enjoy a lot more you'd think.

I don't see how Jeff can be so sure that he played the actual beginning of MGSV. They could have just told him that or had it set up to appear that way.

Hearing Dan shit on Disney films that aren't Aladdin? I guess I was shown more films as a kid like Jungle Book, Snow white, and such, these stories are fucking classics man. I understand you "grew up" but those films are timeless.

I don't understand Dan's notion of "I will never pay anything for a F2P-Game" ... especially as someone that works close to the industry. I set the rule for myself that for any F2P-Game I play for long enough I will put money down as sort of a "tip" to the developers. If I keep playing it I keep putting some money in, that seems just fair.

I own all the heroes I really want in HotS, but I just bought some skin I didn't really need the other day because I got all of the heroes for free.

Regarding PS Plus games:

I agree that people getting insanely upset over this stuff are being silly. That said the idea of wanting more full-retail "triple A" games isn't that outlandish since the PS3 really set that high quality precedent in place. Before this new generation, Xbox Games with Gold were these smaller indie titles while PS Plus members were getting Uncharted 3 or God of War games.

Now the problem is that these machines are relatively fresh into their cycle and the back catalog isn't that big, but after such a stellar array of big games coming out during the PS3 era it's sometimes a little deflating to see month after month of phone ports or smaller indies.

To reiterate, it's not that big of a deal since this is a bonus you get each month. But as illogical as it sounds I too fall into the camp of people who sometimes think "well why hasn't Killzone shown up on this thing yet?" despite having honestly zero interest in playing Killzone.

When going from PS3 to PS4 the PS Plus service has somewhat dwindled in quality. The PS Plus games on offer are a lot smaller in scale, multiplayer is now put behind a paywall, the service itself has not improved in terms of performance or speed with notably poor speeds in Europe and now a price hike for the 1 month and 3 month subscriptions in various European countries. So if you're European then you are essentially getting less for the same price: your service is worse, and depending on where you live Sony is now asking you to pay more.

PS4 might be the best selling console for ages now, but the service itself has been less than stellar.

One thing about Heroes of the Storm that isn't terribly important: once you hit account level 15 or something in that neighborhood, you permanently unlock all of the talent options for every hero. Meaning you don't have to level the heroes you haven't played to 4 to unlock all of the talents anymore like Dan was describing.

Yes, there is a siege tank hero, but the hero is technically the woman inside the tank, not the tank itself. You see her (Sgt. Hammer is her name) poking out the top of the tank when you stop moving. Also, no she does not ride a mount, and her "mount" ability works differently - it gives a short but incredible speed boost. Additionally, Dan, Falstad (the gryphon guy) does have a mount ability that is once again different - once you hit the mount key you click somewhere on the minimap and you fly to it.

Finally, there is one little fun dumb thing with mounts - by default, Diablo's mount is just him running on all fours. But you can equip him with a horse or whatever you have and he looks dumb as hell riding a mount.

Oh, and while I'm not a huge stickler for Blizzard lore, I do like Warcraft lore, but I would still love to see Tony Hawk or any other ridiculous addition to HotS. I doubt anything like that will ever happen, though.

Yeah, when it comes to tattoos I'm not against the idea of getting one, but like Dan I don't trust that my future self will ever like something my current self tattooed on my body.
