@sayunowi: Was wondering that myself. Did they do one this week? I know they mentioned starting it on UPF.

A method that I have found effective for sleep paralysis it to find a part of your body that you can move, which for me is the tips of my toes. Moving those tends to get the rest of my body moving after a while, and so I've sort of got into the habit of moving them even if it's not happening, if I think it might start. It usually happens to me when I oversleep.

2 is still the best Saints Row. Mechanically, it falls short of 3 and 4 but I found the writing to be sharper and the world more alive and memorable. The pedestrian dialogue alone is worth playing through it. I just appreciated how it didn't draw attention to itself like 3 and 4 did. The singalong is a good example of the mentality behind the writing. In the second game it's a fun little Easter egg that doesn't draw attention to itself and just happens randomly while in 3 it's a big event that only happens once that you're railroaded in to.

In not being over-the-top it manages to be funnier. I liked 3 and 4 a whole lot but I found it too in-your-face with the writing.

Jeff: I get sleep paralysis a lot and I find the easiest way to snap out of it is to try to wiggle my fingers, works every time straight away so you may want to give it a spin next time it happens.

Something about trying that movement seems to let my brain know 'oh shit he's awake'

Jeff, I never realized the feeling of being short of breath and believing you are awake in a familiar place despite actually being asleep actually had a name, "Sleep Paralysis". I always chalked it up to really vivid nightmares since there was usually a ghost holding me down and compressing my chest making me short of breath in the dream. In one instance, I managed to cry out for my Mom and it just happened to be that I was asleep in the living room while she was around and was able to wake me up from it. Those experiences occurred almost every day my Senior year of High School and a few times before I moved out. I thought for sure our house was actually haunted. LOL!

every time @jeff brings up SOCOM it brings back so many good memories damn I miss that game
