Mario Party Party: 8

Wonder if they had the sensor bar set up wrong or if the game really does handle it that badly. I have it, rarely played it, but I dont recall having any IR issues with it. They might have the sensor bar on the bottom of the TV but have it set to on top of the TV.

Also, dropping a hot suggestion as we near the end of this great series, there needs to be some love thrown into Dokapon Kingdom or Fortune Street.

Of course that would be how it ends. Great. Perfect.

This game at least seems to be the most competitive of the series. It seemed like all players were pretty much neck and neck through the game.

For as bad of a videogame as Mario Party still is, this was probably the easiest one to watch being played. Less random mini-games, less annoying music, less annoying taunt buttons and slightly more competitiveness on a board a little bit better designed than previous ones.

The bullshit motion controls made it funnier as well.

This seems like the best one, motion controls even make the games somewhat fun.

There are times when you can see Jeff regretting his hiring decisions.

I honestly wouldn't be surprised with how deep Dan is into wrestling. There's no point to MPP 9 or 10 now, no one can catch up to Dan.

After the misery that was the last one, this one (apart from the bullshit motion controls) actually wasn't nearly as bad. Unfun mechanics (stealing stars, cheap items that auto warp you to stars) were toned down a lot, and the game seemed much better for it. Not good, but better.

Jeff claims that Goombas are "mushroom people" when Kuribo literally means "chestnut person." If Goombas taste like anything, they taste like chestnuts, because that's what they are.

This entire Sisyphean exercise was all worth it at the 4:00 mark.

I like Dan Ryckert but also fuck Dan Ryckert :).

There is no way he should have won that. It's ridiculous that he gets ALL of the bonus stars at the end.

I love and hate this feature at the same time. Because these game are so unfair at times.
