Does anyone else have their sound go out after a couple minutes?

@jonnythan12: in general I've been having audio issues across all GB videos lately. Either no audio in window mode or intermittent audio in full screen. getting really bad.

I am unusually hyped for MK11 after not playing a MK game since MK3. Got MKX and have been playing through that and it's very good, but 11 looks wonderful.

@drm2thej: MK10 is terrific; but I'd really recommend watching the a "movie" version of the MK 9 story online. It's better told than X, and really goes some places, especially towards the end.

I veeery much share your enthusiasm for 11, though.

I think Ben was balding before my eyes playing the Mario level. I feel for you Ben, you stuck with it through some deeply frustrating stuff.

I loved the old MK games growing up, got super excited for the "return of MK" with MK9 (which was great) but I don't think I've ever had a bigger change in opinion on a game series than when MKX released. I don't know if I just got sick of the series... but MKX (outside of the story) was such a boring disappointment of a game. It retroactively made me wonder if MK was ever a great fighting series.

With that said, once again I see MK11 and go "that looks great!".

Let's finish it. Seeing this again was awesome.

Seeing Ben slowly dies inside over the course of this stream is an amazing accompaniment. I am only 35 minutes in and I can't decide if I want him to beat it or not.

Such a good chill stream. Between watching the story mode of MK9 and that launch trailer of MK11, I'm in a happy Mortal Kombat mood.

Edit: I'm remembering now how frustrating MK9's story mode could be. I dropped MKX pretty quickly because I didn't care for how cheesy some of those fights felt too (and I hate the QTEs before the fights). I'm excited for MK11 but that's only because I've talked my brother into playing it with me.

Damn I really needed this stream this week to sip some wine and unwind to. Thank you guys. Can't wait to play MK11.

xD Ben's facial expressions win this video. It's that silent anger and frustration that makes Mario Maker what it is haha.

@brad if you choose to play through the previous games before MK11, I would encourage you to play the tutorials (not saying you're playing badly- you were doing fine during the video!) They're pretty decent at just getting you back into the specifics of the gameplay quickly. They helped me a lot when I tried to jump into MKX after not playing MK9 for a while. Also using the enhanced special moves (the "hold RT when finishing the inputs" ones), sweeps, and uppercuts are going to be your friends on some of the bosses, because hoo boy do they get cheap at some points, especially during MK9.

Also be sure to stick around after the credits of MKX, there is a final scene that sets up MK11's plot.

I can't believe they finally cleared that Mario level! Congrats Ben!

Damn, how far they've come in terms of graphics, character design, writing, even voice acting...but I still fucking LOVE this story mode, cheese and all. Hope they never start taking themselves TOO seriously.

I am in the midst of a now three day long battle with the stomach bug and I put this on in the bathroom while evacuating pretty much everything my body has to offer. It made the evening significantly less miserable, thanks guys.

I will never understand how people can talk shit about Soulcalibur, DOA, Virtua Fighter, Guilty Gear, and Blazblue but suck up MK, Tekken, and Street Fighter.

@drm2thej: same here man! I might actually buy a Mortal Kombat game or any fighting game...the last time was Soul Calibur on Dreamcast! This looks rad!

Enjoyed the show, especially since my memory of MK9 (and X) is almost forgotten. Also, congrats Ben on beating the Mario Maker level!

The only fight i remember being pretty difficult in this game was the last boss. I remember spamming the teleport uppercut to beat him.

This is a great feature, would love to see this continue.
