This only means that Giant Bomb will have to do an ER for this. While the Persona 4 one was great, the Deadly Premonition ER was a legend, and I'm pretty sure it's what has given SWERY and the game the cult following it has today in the west. Hell, it made GB a legend in the early days too!

I sympathize with those that are tired of seeing so many remakes and ports for the Switch.

BUT I'm so happy Tokyo Mirage Sessions is getting a second chance and getting new stuff! Also, the HD remake of Xenoblade Chronicles has my heart a flutter.

Not the best Direct. Very few things I'm actually interested in playing that they haven't announced already. And I have no idea who Terry Bogard is since I've never played Fatal Fury. I'm usually embarrassingly well-versed in video game characters, so that seems like a fairly deep cut. Where's Rayman?!

@wollywoo: Terry Bogard originates in Fatal Fury, but he's been a staple and far more well known for being in King of Fighters for well over a decade. He's basically the most well known character from that fighting game series at this point, so he's not exactly a deep cut.

I say that as someone who has never played a KoF game in their life but still recognizes Terry through general gaming osmosis.

Yeah I was going to mention this too. A few GB West videos have been like this recently so I assume they're aware of it and just can't fix it atm?

Yeah felt a bit sad about that one as well. But outside of Rorie not many of them seem to really enjoy those games.

After watching this, I quizzed roughly 30 PreK and Kindergarten students (15 of each) on Banjo. They are also non-English speaking (they're Korean), with I'm assuming no familiarity with the character, and they all still said bear. So, take that Ben!

Yes, Deadly Premonition 2 is worthy of some hype, but they are remastering the old game too. I think THAT is what is a bit more interesting because it is proven.

...I have some doubts they can make a good DP2.

I'm most excited for Tokyo Mirage Sessions and Xenoblade Chronicles, two games I missed out on. Xenoblade Chronicles 2 was awesome and X was cool too.

I showed the direct to my 7 year old son and he (unprompted) described Banjo as "That Dog Guy", so, Ben is right.

Hell yeah Deadly Premonition 2. It is a crime that the PC version is horrifically broken (more so than makes the game endearing).

Francis York Morgan should be the 5th Smash Bros. character.

I know the words "Endurance Run" are practically verboten for the GB crew, but c'mon, it's Deadly Premonition 2.

The fact that DP2 is being made is a sign that the Gods exist, and that they want another hilarious Endurance Run. Could be tough with the VJ combo being separated by a whole lot of states, and online collaboration tends to lack the spark that face-to-face content does; the combinations mentioned at the start of the comments could be golden even if it wasn't the VJ or RB duos. I still go back to both DP ERs and the P4 ER at least once a year as they're perfect to put on while chilling playing some Minecraft, Warframe, or American Trucksim.

Maybe Dan and Ben are magic, but they have fantastic chemistry and comedic timing on-stream.

@shoeblazer: My guess here is that Jeff is still reacting to Deadly Premonition 2 and is talking about Swery. That's the only thing that makes sense to me.

Edit: That's definitely it because at the end of the Divinity trailer he says he doesn't even know what game this is because he was still thinking about DP2.

I've yet to see a reaction to Deadly Premonition 2 that didn't make me crack up.
