@jeff I thought the only thing to cure Pacman Fever was Giantbomb.com?

I've kind of settled on a strategy of just leaving the power-up on speed, and then just focus on completely clearing screens (and maintaining the ghost combo if possible) to get the speed level up until the red Pac-men appear, at which point I just focus on building the ghost train, and maintaining the combo, and getting to the next screen as soon as possible. Still haven't won yet though, but I've finished second a couple times

My strategy so far has been Train and whatever targetting works for the moment and just focus on clearing the board for speed boosts until the red Pac's start coming. I never looked into what the other modes for Strength and Speed did but seeing what Strength can do is interesting and may be what I need to incorporate into my strategy to help finish guys off in the top 15 or so.

If you play it enough it does slow down where you can start looking around at things other than the board.

Took first place in a match the week this game came out, and will never return. It's good, but it ain't no Tetris 99. Also, Bubble Bobble 99. Think about it.

Powerups definitely only happen when you eat the pellets. In fact if you have any speed from board clears, you'll notice when you eat a stronger pellet you'll lose a level of speed from a clear!

Okay, but what about Doom 99
100 players attempt to get through as much as Doom as possible at the same time with quick kills causing more demons to spawn in the other player's levels

@devitiffany: sounds perfect, as long as it is classic Doom or 2016, no eternal cooldown fest

Here's a 3 minute video explaining all the power-ups and different attack options. Doesn't seem that complicated really.

@devitiffany: Unsurprisingly, I would play the hell out of this.

Radar Rat Race was one of the games HAL Labs developed for Commodore. It's not known who exactly did what, but Satoru Iwata definitely worked on some of them.
