I always thought that Batman was kind of lame with his no kill rule. You're right, he would eventually kill someone, even if it was accidental. Even a lot of his "non lethal gadgets" would kill. The grappling hook alone could tear out someones throat.

Man, you're going to be really bummed when next-gen games start being released on Steam.

Looks solid. More Batman is not a bad thing. I'd rather have this sort of combat then another incremental shooter or fighter. It's the most fun I've probably ever had beating dudes up.

Pretty cool. Added to my wishlist. Been years since I played through Arkham Asylum, and I haven't even played through Arkham City yet. Time to get back into them now that GFWL has been removed from both games.

I vote Origin(s) to be the laziest subtitle in videogame history.

Batman: Arkham Origins, Dragon Age: Origins, Condemned: Criminal Origins, Fear 2: Project Origin, Rayman: Origins, and Silent Hill: Origins just to name a few.

The game look pretty good to me.

Deadpool is nothing like Deathstroke; I don't know how they could get them confused. For one, Deathstroke's name is Slade Wilson, and Deadpool's name is Wade Wilson. Totally different.

This is the funniest quick look I've seen in a while although Brad's over-reliance on the guide kick makes me grit my teeth.

I've already bought this. Even if its not quite as good as the Rocksteady games, I'm perfectly fine with more content that features this gameplay. Also the multiplayer reminds me of MGS3 Subsistence online, which is a good thing.

Whoa. I'm shocked I never realised that.

Meh, I don't know. I don't think I've seen Unleashed that much. Certainly not as much as Origins. Also, Unleashed usually means something, whereas Origins doesn't always go into detail about the Origin of something (case and point here).

Unleashed bugs me because it implies that they held back with every prior game. Also, it screams "X-TREME" to me. Also also, has there ever been a good Unleashed game?

Been playing this at max on my pc and in some ways its nicer looking than City, in others worse. Specifically its the general open world that is lacking as much detail I find, perhaps because the map is so much bigger.

Overall been a decent game, played like 15 hours now I think. Not as good as city or asylum of course but definitely worthwhile if you liked them. Rocksteady had a certain trademark level of high-polish to their games which orgins does lack here and there.

Would be kinda interesting if they really went back to Batman's origins back when he used guns and killed people. Of course, it would probably become a by-the-numbers shooter at that point, but maybe something interesting could be done by trying to tie that back into the current continuity somehow.

I would also pay quite a lot for a new Batman game set in Burton's Batman movie universe (and I don't mean a Ducktales or Flashback style poor polygonal remake of the 2D games, but a full on open world-ish 3D game), the general aesthetics and music in his Batman movies were fucking amazing.

Star Wars The Force Unleashed immediately comes to mind. That game was fucking great.

@shagge: Good; I think so. Maybe not great? The Force Unleashed was okay I thought. I do get what you mean though. I just dislike the whole subtitle thing in general to be honest. It makes sense for some games, but every game having a subtitle? Even a first in the series? Kingdoms of Amalur: Reckoning? That's just dumb (even though I liked that game).

This game came with my video card I bought a few months ago, so I'll definitely give it a shot.

Hey atleast it's not "Super Batman: Arkham Origins Arcade Edition version 2013" ... yet.

Correcting a few things:

- They have provided a very rough chronology for this game. Bruce is in his second year as Batman, and this game takes place roughly five years before Arkham Asylum.

- The remote claw is most definitely a new item in this game. One of the few.

- Fast travel icons were greyed out because you were trying to do it in mid flight, and you have to be standing to do it.

- Those guys you fought at the scrambled radio tower were defending the brightly lit door you needed to walk in

Brad killed Batman.

I tried the "How tall is Batman?" question using the google search app and not only does she sound better than Siri, she also said "6 feet 0 inches."

The multiplayer voice chat made this a great quick look.

Arkham Asylum was close to a 10, I stopped playing Arkham City after an hour, if this is still open-world in a boring empty city this will share the same fate and won't even bother trying it.

Multi-player actually seems interesting.

Not a fan that they put Deathstroke in the game... He's equivalent and maybe a little out of Batmans league considering he can take out the entire Teen Titans alone. He is a villain with Batmans intelligence yet is stronger, faster and can regen.

This game is shit on 360. So damn much freezing up.

@pocky4th3win: Deathstroke is one of those characters that get more/less powerful depending on how much the author likes the character.

Man some of the textures and shadows on these console versions are fuuugly.
