Odd time to put this up.

Nice quick look Jeff and Ryan, i'm playing the SP right now and i'm loving it!

so i ended up going to the mid-night launch at a local BB and there was a lot more people there then i would have expected, and this was spur of the moment for me i had no plans to go. so i am going to watch this while it installs.

I understand only being able to do the 360 version right now, but I'm sure Jeff realizes there needs to be a PC Quick Look as well.

I got about an our of MP and SP in. I really wish my friends hadn't refused to buy this game on Origin because playing with strangers is tough.

Anyone else notice at 3:46 he grabs a UMP off the guys back and it transforms into an AKS?

How is that even a concern? Play a bit of BF3 and then watch the new MW3 official trailer. What a joke MW3 looks by comparison. The engine is so dated. The character models look terrible in the cut-scene samples, and this is in the official trailer, where they can massage the graphics as much as possible. Singleplayer for both games will be stupid, but BF3 will at least look good doing it.

It's a shame that (at least until 20 mins in) it's so ridiculously scripted. From the PC beta the Multiplayer on big maps like Caspian Border was superb, at least, and that's my main reason for getting this.

Yeah, there really needs to be a PC quick look, because this is not at all what even the beta looked on PC. If the PC version isn't like this at all, this is a gross misrepresentation of the game's quality on that platform( I am a dumbass who forgot them claiming this is a 360 edition at the beginning of the video).

edit: Oh yeah, as soon as he loaded up metro, seeing that wall texture? It was a bad idea to do this tonight as opposed to waiting for the PC tomorrow.

Finished the campaign on PC tonight. Not sure why it's getting a negative reception from some corners - it was fun to play through, and more or less on par with the MW2 campaign, for better and worse. The fighter jet and tank sections were standouts for me.

The weird draw distance issue Jeff noticed in this QL is definitely not present on the PC. The game is jaw droppingly gorgeous in places, and the sound design is second to none - not just explosions and gun fights, but the ambient stuff too.

The story is alright, though it feels like large parts of the major story beats were lifted from the first two MW games. I don't like when military shooters turn into action movie nonsense with you kicking in the window of a moving train, and so on. DICE clearly went that route to appeal to Modern Warfare fans.

Multiplayer is pretty much the vintage BFBC/BF formula. If you like it, you'll like it. If you don't, then I don't see why this would change your mind. It's a bit slower paced and more tactical than MW, and less focused on twitch shooting. Maps are also generally far, far bigger.

If you've got a PC that can handle it, this is definitely one of those games you'll want to show off to your friends.

The beta looked much better and fluid on my pc in medium settings.

And for that split second I saw metro in this ql, man that looked horrible in comparison. Seems like they said separate pc ql at the end, that would be great.

I was extremely disappointed with the BF3 beta. I might try out the full game but there's so much stuff coming out in November that I shouldn't need to force myself to like a game.

Oh and I'm legitimately liking Dance Central 2 more than Batman Arkham City, so I'm insane; there's that.

Not into Call of Duty any more either. Partly due to Activision's treatment of Infinity Ward and the whole, we've been making Call of Duty 4 for a while now.

whoa forgot I had my "cool mode" activated.

I like that they would prefer to be playing the PC version. Not being PC elitist, I just wanted to see some 64 players.
