Finished the Campaign yesterday. It's abysmally written. "We're here, now we're over here, hey, here's this character, oh wait, never mind, you won't see them again, then this happened, and then we were here and then we were fighting these guys." - it's like it was written by a 12 year old as a school project. I didn't think it would be possible to have a story that's even worse than BF3's but they managed to do it somehow.

Still the Multiplayer is absolutely awesome.

I really hated the story in Battlefield 3. It was dumb in the same way Modern Warfare 2 was, as opposed to the awesome Bond craziness of Black Ops 2.

Ah, that single-player indeed. I don't want to spoil nothing outside of a spoiler-thread but it is an experience I recommend going through.

e: BADCOMPANY or 2142 2 next please, no more of this dull fucking brodude Battlefield. If this is the singleplayer campaign they worked hard for and wanted to do then welp.

I guess it's bad in a sort of funny way, but they should just stop making single player campaigns if this is the best they can do. It's embarrassing.

A prettier version of the game you already own?
Meh. I guess if you consider it a $60 map/weapon pack it might work.

It's also really buggy, as was the BF3 campaign. I've had 2 instances where an objective just wouldn't trigger, leaving me unable to proceed until I killed myself and restarted a checkpoint, I had a time where in a cutscene, a helicopter that was flying overhead was blinking in and out of existence and then was just straight up invisible when I retried that section and then there was a time where on of my squadmates legs became invisible for a short period of time.

I am just going to assume Jeff wants us to listen to Brodyquest in the background. So that is what I'm going to do.

Man, the cringe-worthyness is through the roof here. Not only is the dialogue/writing pretty bad, the frequent dramatic music cues for no fucking reason are hilarious.

Of all the songs they could have chosen, why does this game's campaign start with "Total Eclipse of the Heart"? Is it explained later in the game why these dudes were listening to that song in the car in the first place? Perhaps some kind Saints Row style sing-along?

Yep, and it doesn't get better. It's a very badly made campaign, for the most part. They managed to make it even worse than Battlefield 3's.

The PS4 version actually looks pretty comparable to this from the footage I've seen. Will probably pick that version up since my PC probably can't even run this.

I don't understand the appeal of these games, or why they feel the need for characters to yell "Fuck!" so often.

I hate, the battlelog, SO MUCH. Fortunately I have no intention of touching this for so many reasons, but if I was at all on the fence, that stupid battlelog idea ensures that I stay WAY on the side far far away.

well if you were in a war with constant explosions and bullets flying by your head then you'd probably be yelling Fuck a lot as well, lol

and the appeal of Battlefield in general is the multiplayer...pay no attention to anything the single player has to offer
