Yup, Bioshock 2 still seems like a really bad idea.

I'm not sure I would want to buy a retail priced game only to find out people are saying the DLC is better than the main story. Not only would I feel as though I need to shell more $$$ for the better story, but would look at the disc and think "What are you filled with, then?"

Strange this still hasn't been released for PC, despite coming out on the other platforms. I'd definitely be interested to play it, despite my mixed feelings towards BioShock 2.

Why so much Brad hate? Of course he is not going to search every nook and cranny in a Quick Look.

While I love and respect Brad, it's gotten to the point where I can no longer watch the QLs played by him. It's just too frustrating.

Lots of unwarranted hating on Bioshock 2 in the comments, it seems. Though it didn't have the impact of the first one, it was  a well made game that was quite fun and had a pretty interesting story. Gameplay wise, it was signifigantly better than Bioshock 1. This DLC looks pretty interesting, I might pick it up if it comes to PC.

BioShock 2 was awesome and so was Minerva's Den. The DLC is well worth the price.

To the interested: this DLC is easily 5-6 hours long and one of the best DLC's I've ever played for anything. I wrote a review here:

Durr, guys, don't hate on Brad for not playing through the DLC for you. Big deal, he didn't follow the arrow. Hell, I usually don't go straight for in-game pointers too.

Brad-haters lighten up. It's a quick-look, not a play through. It's also fun when things go wrong, banter ensues. Welcome to Giantbomb and Whiskey Media in general.

I loved Bioshock 2. Sofia Lamb, the ultra-socialists, so much so that she's attempting to use ADAM to supress individual conscienceness, is the political polar opposite of Andrew Ryan, and yet in Rapture the end result is the same. Big improvements in the gameplay from the first Bioshock as well.

Jeez lay off the Shoemaker.  WTF is the deal with the haters?

Speaking of hating, the voice and even pacing of the 'voice over the coms' sounds an awful lot like the guy from the first Red Faction game.  Even down to the "sorry I couldn't be there to meet you in person" bit.

Bioshock 2 rocked. In a bizarre way, it felt being back home. When I loaded up Minerva's den, I screwed up and got the loading for inner phespherone instead, and that  grim musical piece really brought back home the whole feel of the game

Minerva's den however I only have played 1/2 through, methinks. I'm in the second map, didn't know there was 3 and yet I'm on my fourth big daddy. Like brad (Jeff's soto voice"you're going the wrong way"..), I'Ve been stumbling a little because I'm not quite sure if I'm getting too far off track in exploring. But you have to explore. Got fed up, didn't want to rush through the game, and halo 3(edit-reach)happened.

Brad is awesome. I love hearing his views and opinions on the bombcast. But having said that there is always a quicklook every now and then where it's just like, how do you miss that? It's not about 'hating' on Brad. It's that he doesn't pay attention while playing, or at least during quicklooks. I understand that given the nature of quicklooks one cannot search every nook and cranny for some obscure item or what-have-you, but I mean...there are things and then there are things.  That said, he's still awesome and should definitely keep doing quicklooks.

Oh well. I still support you brad! Keep on keepin' on.

you make it sound like DLC is automatically not as good as a retail game while also implying that BioShock 2 is therefore terribly bad. Both are not true. I just finished BS2 on sunday and absolutely loved it!

The last thing I wanted when I beat the original BioShock was more BioShock. I was totally done with that game and universe forever. Guess that's why I haven't played 2, and this DLC isn't for me at all.

The math around 1:35 looks to be someone writing a fake probability equation. The actual math their doesn't seem meaningful or correct but it's designed to look like probability equations.

Having played to the end of the first Bioshock and never playing Bioshock 2, I think this DLC pack looks awesome.  Very reminiscent of the first game.

You almost can't tell it's another dev house, which almost never happens when a sequel is handed off to another team.

I''m glad you enjoyed it. :) I just meant I would feel obligated to buy the DLC, otherwise I would be playing the main story (what I paid retail to play) thinking about the DLC the entire time and how it is said to be better.

Brad QL must not look at Brad hate comments for next 30 minutes. Must resist!

Well anyway I understand its a QL and obviously they want to show as much of a game as possible in the 30 minutes or so given but man oh man. I did the same for Bioshock 1 and 2. Packrat. By the end of the game in both I piled up ridiculous amounts of ammo and health kits and adam which let me breeze through the final parts like a master. I just want to search every single corner for more goodies. It kind of pains me to see Brad not exploring desks and under stuff but eh I'll get over it.
